QUOTE(jasmineivan @ Sep 25 2016, 03:46 AM) Oops I didn't know there is actually 2 different version. I tried it in a shop without plugin into PC. Anyway the promotion price is 489 (retail price 599 model) What is the another model price?Sometime promotion price is just a gimmicks, when you are sole distributor of certain brand. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Let's say, I distribute HHKB, I set SRP at RM 1.5k, but, I always sell at promotion price RM 1.2k. Note: RM 599 is RGB. But, if really promo to RM 489, it's really surprising. This post has been edited by quovadis123: Sep 25 2016, 07:09 AM |

QUOTE(Heeezy @ Sep 26 2016, 01:06 PM) As much as I love Filco, it makes me wonder they don't wanna update their product as the competitions are so much more intense now (Leopold, KUL, Ducky). At least a removable cable? Wonder if there'll ever have a mj3. They've become a little like iPhone now. |

When you think of Filco did not update their products..Actually they have filco with removable cables. And they have LED last time, but still they back to the foundation of keyboard at the end of the day. You looking for fast paced products like Ducky. Ducky has many variations of Ducky One (no LED, basic LED), and Ducky Shine. And every year, they update new product line, so what happens to the old Ducky? Price dropping fast. Btw, I still like old Ducky. |

I don't deny filco do keep up with what they did well and being very promising consistently to their customer. But being fast pace definitely is a plus point as long as they able to maintain their QCActually they have filco with removable cables. And they have LED last time, but still they back to the foundation of keyboard at the end of the day. You looking for fast paced products like Ducky. QUOTE(Heeezy @ Sep 26 2016, 07:58 PM) that's a really bad comparison.. at least Filco was good from the beginning. What makes a good comparison then? I'm comparing non-mainstream/gaming brands like Leopold and KUL (yeah, we can put Ducky aside from this). For example Leopold, it has that awsomely thick 1.5mm PBT keycaps, removable cable, sound dampening pad (appeal to some at least, not me), some has modded cherry stabs (again, personal preference). Well, at least there's . Don't get me wrong man, I LOVE Filco, in fact I have 2 Filco board. Aside from being a prestige brand, it's just that Filco has to have something right.it's probably because they know that no matter how big the competition is.. they are still the classic good and premium board. QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Sep 26 2016, 08:11 PM) When you think of Filco did not update their products.. Afaik, the only Filco with removable cable is Convertible 2 Actually they have filco with removable cables. Btw, I still like old Ducky. Was so hyped for Ducky back then when they released the Shine 3. But now, it's kinda meh. And yeah, they've doing constant "promotion" for their board which makes them a bit like a cheapo brand to me. |
