Hi all, I just got my new car few weeks ago, plan to put a layer of protection on my City Modern Steel. Any recommendation besides coating which is more cost effective? Coating which go up to few k really out of my budget. Thanks.
DIY wash every week and DIY wax/sealant every month
i'm currently using Osren Bubble Wax Shampoo. i buy the 20 litres tong. lasts a good full year for the whole family. suds is good, and its not harsh till it removes wax.
How much does it cos? Sounds like can paint back the car in few years with same price.... I use cheap unbranded shampoo... N waxco wax from mr. Diy... My life is so sad :-(
should be RM100+.
Normally we try to avoid repaint due to 1. Bad repaint finish 2. Rattles/missing parts/screws
How long does it take bro? And shipping fee estimate how much?
i bought it together with other things so the shipping is around 200 buy that alone, around rm100 for shipping took me a week+ only, ordered on 14th, received on 23th
been searching wax vs polish, and found out u actually need to polish the car and seal it with wax.

yeah before i learnt about a thing or two about detailing, i thought polish = wax lol
Some products combine polish+wax/sealant. Many of the common waxes on the shelves like - Kit/Formula1, permaglass contain abit of abrasives to fix minor defects and have good cleaning ability. Some products are called polishes but have little to zero abrasives - duragloss #105, Zaino Z2.
All in one polish/wax products are very useful for saving time when there is just a little ingrained dirt that needs cleaning.

Thought of buying from Amazon as well. Do they pack liquid stuff (such as liquid wax, polish) properly to avoid getting compressed?

they packed mine with box with around 20% empty space stuffed it with air bubble material around my products.. my UWW could move around freely inside when i shook the box, but its movement is cushioned by those materials and the container came out without any dent. So, i guess you dont have to worry about that.

So washed n put wax on whole car... The car was looking awesome.. Than rained... Than all the dirt stick on the car... So i thought.. I already put wax...so lets try soak the car n wipe the dirt off... Didnt help at all... So my question is.. My car get dusty when in house.. Or when i travel.. So what is the easy way to clean? Do i have to wash n wax everytime its get dirty?[attachmentid=7406881]
nice ride..btw, look like u did not wipe off ur wax properly, the lower right side of the front bumper got white residue. haha and also in the front parking sensor
hmm dont think u should soak the car with plain water and wipe it off.. it will incur some swirls as water is not lubricating enuf. if you insist wanna do that, at least get some kind of waterless wash or quick detailers.. you need to be a lot careful with black car. paint imperfect really shines thru the black

I think you need to define what you meant by didn't help at all.
However, dirt from rain and dirt from not using your car are different types. Starting with the easier one, dirt that settles on your car from lack of use can be easily wiped off with a detailer or waterless wash, or even dusted off (but you might not want to do that). But dirt from driving on a wet Road in light rain (where there is a lot of water kicked up) will stick to your car quite stubbornly, wax or not. I usually wait for my weekly wash to get those off. Hosing your car can only be helpful if you take the trouble to dry it, however you are risking scratches and you might not be able to lift all of it off your car especially if the water from the road has dried. Waterless wash helps a bit but I find that risky if it's too dirty. Black cars especially.
At the end of the day keep trying until you find a regime that works for you. All the best!

Well that's the problem with black color car. The color is either for lazy slob, or a car lover. Black color get slightly dusty in just few hours indeed because any containmination is just too obvious when the car is shinny clean. There's nothing much you can do. Just wash it every week. Only reapply wax on the panel where water beads badly.
Don't despair, it should work. Remember to start on a small area (don't hentam the whole thing) and apply some rigorous elbow grease. Then wipe off the polish and check if it works (less scratches, no hazing) before moving to the whole piece. You might also want to mask off the gaps else your polish will get trapped in them.

Hmm can't find any information related to nano wash 2.0 from Google or official website. Is this a normal car shampoo without wax? How's the dilution ratio?
is it safe to wash and apply wax everyweek, when google found advised to was every 3 months once, i bought those wash mit and special car cloths, but i realize more and more tiny scratches on the pay, scared to send car wash, when i first take car its just been send to car wash, already had 4-5 scratches that was quite visible to the common eye, i did small research on paint, black is hardest to keep clean, but shines out the most when clean. i simply choose black coz i love black, i love darth vader,i love batman, i love the batmobiles.
Me love batman too, and yes, black is a full time job. You can't be part time dark knight else your armour would look greyish.
Did you use the 2 buckets grit guard method? it reduces swirls induced by washing.
You can apply every other week. When I have free time, i wax it every other week, just to tell myself that i should finish up one bottle before getting a new product to try. So I have been removing and re-wax different brands every now and then.

Suggest paying attention to your washing and drying technique.. use only soft microfiber cloths and throw them away after a few uses. The system i use is to grade them accordingly (learned it fr youtube).. virgin cloths for exterior, then degraded for interior use, then engine use, then inside wheel arches and throw right after.
There's this guy on youtube which i find pretty informative.. though a bit long winded search "auto fetish detail"... loads of tips there
