Do you know where in Penang Island to get those items in bulk?

PG sealant is a paste sealant which replaces paste/liquid wax.
Sealants can last longer than wax. This is gotten from information all over the internet.
I don't want to keep waxing my car, thus i plan to use sealant which will last longer with the same benefits of wax.
Most sealants I see cost RM100 at least. PG sealants cost around RM30 and below. The difference in price is quite high.

Not sure if you got your answer yet.

I have been using PG sealant for many years. The product works amazingly as a very light polisher where it removes tough stain and fine scratches. It is not really a sealant. I would say it is a cleaner wax.

It last longer than wax where you only need to apply it once every 3 months for optimum result and no claying will be needed. If you find paste wax is easy to buff off, PG sealant is just as easy as paste wax. Quick detailer is easiest to buff off though follow by liquid wax.

The end result is of course not as good as quick detailer or wax where it gives very good reflection. It is very dependent on the quality and appearance of your paint indeed.

Hi. Just wondering if anyone come across with fusso coat 12 months black for dark color car? Does the wax caused smudging where a white shade appear at top of the paint on the second day after applying the product on dark color car?

40 days and 6 washes since the car waxed. Strong water beading even the car is s covered with dust. Is this result of a good wax?

Looks pretty good for 40 days. Is the car put under car porch most of the time?
*
Yes the car is under car porch most of the time but it is a half shaded car porch where more than 50% of the car is exposed to direct sunlight most of the time especially during northern summer season.

Cool. Mind to share what product is that?  smile.gif

It is actually done by a poor man's paste wax cost rm9.50 made by China by autocare or xin qiu (it has both name on it. Lol).

I think they just copy the ingredient of Japanese wax fusso coat. I never use real fusso coat but the result seems like the same with fusso coat video. Not sure about durability and Uv protection though.

Good stuff. Where to buy? BTW, what car shampoo do you use? That, I believe, will have an effect on how long the wax will last.
*
I get the wax from Brothers. The main drawback of the wax is extremely slow curing time which is almost a week if you apply it thick (yes it is thicker when you apply thick layer). If it happen to rain on the next day after wax, you would see wax stain on dark color car and need to remove and reapply again. The wax is not easy off if left for more than 1 min though. Swipe test does not apply with the wax as it will never haze or dry even left for hours.

The car shampoo I'm using is magic 101 wash and wax. OTC from Tesco. Kinda cheap at around rm16 when it is on yellow tag.

Hi,

Just now I went to wash car centre and I also opt for car polishing + wax around RM130. Original price for polishing is RM200 and waxing only is RM100, but the centre gave discount to RM130 for polish + wax after I ask can give discount or not. So I think it is worth the price since long long time like 4 years never polish my car and can see stains, swirls and light scratches on car paint.

After they wash my car and dried it, they applied wax compound (from what I see is white color paste from Waxco Wax, not sure it got polish + wax effect) to whole car body and waited for 10 minutes for the compound to dry out. Afterwards, they use the polishing machine with wool to polish the wax on the car. After completed, they wipe the car with dry cloth and told me polish and wax completed.

So, does this mean my car is polished already ? Cos i still can see swirls and stain marks on my car paint although it is shiny now. I thought polish will remove the marks and swirls.....
*
They are using all in one cleaner wax. And seriously, Waxco wax?

Well technically say, yes, they polished your car, and left a thin layer of easy off wax on your car. However, it is not a proper service they have provided. Those kind of service should only cost you rm38 or even less.

I would expect no more or very little swirl mark and no containmination should remain if I were to pay rm130.

Hi all, what is the best product to remove some minor scratches found on the bonnet? Just got my new car 2 days ago and I found some minor scratches on my bonnet this morning, like few shallow short lines, not those deep scratches..  mad.gif  mad.gif  vmad.gif  vmad.gif Is there any product to remove it effectively?? My car colour is City modern steel.. Thanks in advance..
*
Probably done by cat. Those behated cats always sleep on my black color car. Scratches everywhere.

If it is the cat they would probably come again. It will be a never ending scratches removal fight. Applying wax should hide those light scratches, for temporary.

Is headlight protectant applied on brakelights a bad idea? Works fine on my headlight but when applied on brakelights it gets cloudy and kinda difficult to remove. Should i let it just be as it is?
*
Not a bad idea, but just not necessary. Rear lights is made of acrylic which will not oxidized, unlike the front headlight.

Anyway, I believe you are using meguiars headlight protectant which would leave a cloudy layer if not wipe off immediately.

Does that apply to all tail-lights? I believe some would be made of polycarbonate too.
*
Well I believe this should apply to almost all newer tail-lights. The only few cars that are suffering from yellowish tail-lights are older cars such as old Proton saga and etc.

Yes I am using meguiar headlight protectant...Should I get meguiar plastx to remove it?
*
Well I'm using meguiars headlight protectant as well. I made a mistake by letting it dry at the first time using it.

The cloudy layer will disappear in a month or 2, so don't worry. I guess that indicate how long does the protection last before reapplication needed.

Oh BTW don't polish your headlight if it is new. Only polish it when it is oxidized. By polishing a new and clear headlight it means you are removing the protective clear coat comes with factory. As for the tail light it's okay to polish because no uv resistant coating involved.

I already put wax...so lets try soak the car n wipe the dirt off... Didnt help at all... So my question is.. My car get dusty when in house.. Or when i travel.. So what is the easy way to clean? Do i have to wash n wax everytime its get dirty?[attachmentid=7406881]

Well that's the problem with black color car. The color is either for lazy slob, or a car lover. Black color get slightly dusty in just few hours indeed because any containmination is just too obvious when the car is shinny clean. There's nothing much you can do. Just wash it every week. Only reapply wax on the panel where water beads badly.

is it safe to wash and apply wax everyweek, when google found advised to was every 3 months once, i bought those wash mit and special car cloths, but i realize more and more tiny scratches on the pay, scared to send car wash, when i first take car its just been send to car wash, already had 4-5 scratches that was quite visible to the common eye, i did small research on paint, black is hardest to keep clean, but shines out the most when clean. i simply choose black coz i love black, i love darth vader,i love batman, i love the batmobiles.
*
Yes you can wax your car every week if you like to. Just make sure you are using pure wax and not cleaner wax.

Anyway, it is fine to use cleaner wax or all in one wax every week. However, just avoid it because we wouldn't know if the product you are using is too abrasive or just very light cleaning power. To be safe, always use pure wax, especially on black car. Reason being you won't see much stain on black car, so cleaner wax is just not necessary.

For light polish and scratches removal, can I know which is recommended, a rotary buffer or a dual action buffer?

I found that rotary buffer can go as low as rm150 for no brand and rm250 for skil brand. DA will need at least RM500, which is double.

Hmm based on the descriptions, the ion concept is to make the bonding between the paint and wax better.
Heard of this Taihokohzai wax before, but I have never used this before. Probably you can try it out and let us know  biggrin.gif .

If you don't want to take any risk, but you still prefer Japanese wax, you can go for soft99 fusso coat 12 months (年間防水).
*
Just wondering if by any chance you have used fusso coat 12 months black before? If yes does it leave a thin white layer after exposed to heat?

All this while I use soft99 king of gloss (KOG) instead of fusso coat, as I wanted to try out something that's less mainstream haha. biggrin.gif

Thin white layer? Did you buff out your wax with microfiber towel after you have applied the wax?
*
Yes I did use a wax off micro Fibre cloth for the job. Anyway I never use fusso coat black before. I'm using some China made generic wax for black car which gives the same beading result like fusso coat but the generic wax would leave a white layer on the paint surface few days later after applying the wax.

If fusso coat 12 months does not gives such issue then I would get one. Love the serious water beading indeed.

BTW, are you using soft 99 king of gloss for black car? I just check the video the gloss seems stunning.

Nope I don't think fusso coat will leave a white layer thing on the surface. At least for KOG, it didn't give me such problem.
I use it on my red color car. Yeap the gloss it's absolutely stunning  smile.gif

Guess I will look for king of gloss for dark car then.

I don't know what happened by "oily stains" appeared after I applied the Soft 99 Fusso Wax (for Dark Colored) cars.

Anyone know why o_O?
*
If I'm not mistaken this happen when you apply the wax too thick. It should go away in a day or 2. You might see a white shade later after exposed to heat. Please let me know if white shade happen.

I don't have fusso coat for black car but I do have a generic one which cost only rm10. I believe it works exactly the same like fusso coat for black car.
