Any graphene spray is recommended?

Currently I am using fusso wax.. Imo better than TW which I used..
Thinking to change the product.. Since fusso wax is the hard type abit difficult to applies and hard to make it spread even as paste or liquid type..

Recently purchased the soft 99 creamy shampoo n wax (orange packing) not sure if it's good.. Cause put it on your damp sponge and wipe to car then rinse.. Nor sure effective or not haha..

Hi. For new car, City Pearl White, what should I do to clean my car?
Normal wash with water, dry with cloth, then use Soft99 Pearl & Metallic Wax?
Not planning to do coating as of now.

Hi, I’d like to ask fellow car owners with white paint if you experience stubborn stains after heavy rain? I notice black dust from the rain that sticks to my car, and even after washing with soap, it doesn't come off easily. I have to use wax to remove it. My car is already coated – I used IGL at the front and Carpro UK2.0 on the roof and rear, but isnt coating supposed to bead water? but after a heavy rain like few days, the hydrophobic effect gone. What's odd is that after washing, instead of water beading, it creates water sheeting. My current solution is to apply wax or use Carpro Reload 2.0 to quickly remove these stubborn black dust stains.

Suggest a clay cloth but used mthly only. Prior to using dip the cloth for 15-20 min to soften the cloth. After washing and rinse, used back the same shampoo with the cloth and run it across the entire car especially areas with stains.. hope this helps. Once done spray a little whatever ceramic or graphene spray you have in your arsenal

Any suggestion cleaning/maintainance for alcantara? I assuming it should be similar as fabric?
For plastic / leather etc I guess those product like perl (carpro) or meguilar Quik Interior should be good?

Guys,

Not sure this has been asked before or not. Have anybody here tried to polish the ppf surface before? I tried to google, the answer is not convincing enuf.

Im planning to wrap the ppf at the front of the car and thw rest of the panel gonna leave it just as is followed by usual care method, coating/wax or sealant.

The plan are after a year or 2 maybe need to reapply the coating on the ppf but prior to that for sure we need to prep the surface first. It wont be an issue to compound and polish for the rest of the panel, my concern is the panel which got ppf on it. How can we prep it to layer a new coating?
*
Only worth to polish when the ppf got dark, stained or watermark.
If scratches just change the ppf.

But in my experience any compound should work. I’ve been using polarshine 10 and uno advanced to remove the watermark/stained and no problem so far…just dont press too hard ya or the ppf will get burned

Guys...any recommendations for good part painting shops where I can fix the scratch on my lower bumper? I do not intend to respray the whole bumper just because of a few scratches on the left side as I intend to keep the original paint.
Thanks!

REF: Makita polisher from Shopee:

Bought this corded Makita with 5-inch pads from Shopee for RM144. Realised the label on the tool didn't have the model number and the instruction leaflet has no Makita name or branding.

Could be counterfeit, though the vendor claimed it's direct from factory. Didn't answer my questions on model number and giving me the usual marketing template runaround answers as many of these vendors tend to do.

haven't tried it yet, though I'm confident it will work properly. My guess is that this was made by a no-name Chinese contract assembler and the Makita label was slapped on it, illegal as that is.

I bought it online and understood the risks of not buying from Makita Official Store so I'm willing to pay the price if I screwed up :0

so my questions are addressed to those who really know about Makita tools - customers/traders/enthusiasts.

1. Red flag is the price. Do Makita polisher actually sell at such a low price?

2. All power tools from manufacturers should have model number and that should be the same in this case, isn;t it. Not just a generic "Polisher" to the label.

3. Malaysian brand Keelat seems to be reliable from what I have read. Does it sell corded car polisher ( i know they have cordless ones but batteries can go bad if you are just an occasional user)?

4. One should never use the same pad for waxing and polishing even if the pad has been washed thoroughly. One pad for waxing, another one for polishing. Is that the correct practice? Which Shopee vendors sell good quality pads at affordable price? Saw a few but would like some word of mouth recommendations.

using the polisher for removing windscreen watermarks and for waxing car body.

Hi..can anyone recommend me something like speed and barrier fusso coat or sio2 spray or any spray coating product that can be sprayed and buff without affecting black exterior plastic part such as wheel fender liner (the thing around the tyre..usually on suv)..what i meant by not affecting the plastic part is sometimes this coating can leave white residue after dry.. Thank you

My car solid white too..using fusso coat 12 month as coating..surface prep was done before coating.. clay and then polish using PG Pro PG1 as my car is new. one of the instruction from youtube is to use IPA after polishing.. but i never do this step as PG said IPA only need to be used for oil based compound. Theirs is waterbased so no need to IPA wipe. After buffing i straightaway wax fusso coat part by parts.

After that i try to atleast wash my car weekly.. Fast forward to two months i think i get lazy and skip the wash for almost 3 weeks.. guess what? i too get the dark watermark stain all over the body and it doesnt go away after washing.. fyi, i never lost the beading.. its just the dirt seems to easier to stick..

Do some googling and some user here in the forum also got the same problem on the fusso. One of the solution is to use wax to remove it (same like what you doing).. So i proceed to do another round of wax.. no prep like last time this time.. just a top up. At first, im thinking of using wax that was made for cleaning.. but end up using what i already got which is soft99 mirror shine wax. To my surprise, the stain was gone quite easy after waxing even though the wax is not a cleaner type. (do another googling and come to know that most of soft99 wax have cleaning abilities lol.gif lol.gif .

The stain never appear like before after that.. maybe have but only some at roof..in my opinion the stain will appear more easily if after the rain it was the exposed to the hot sun. the sun will baked the dirt to the surface.

im washing my car using OSREN Rinseless wash weekly at least now.

Also sometimes i used soft99 speed and barrier as QD. Beading remains until now.

Rarely go the carwash anymore because i was never satisfied with the finish (wiping dry always leave a streak because they r using not so clean towels).

I dont know about the products u used, but few days is really short for the hydrophobicity to be gone. Waxing is tiring.. for it to last for few days only, it was not really worth it.

Wow solid white but if well maintained it will look good.. laugh.gif . Im using IGL coating did the proper steps and all still let say heavy rain for few days and if i park at the water droplet where it hit the car paint the coating seems wear off and leave a black streak where is hard to remove with normal soap. So only way quickest is i use CarPro Reload 2.0 where it contains silica to remove dust and dirt immediately leaving the paint back to clean. Perhaps i may try using Fusso since is cheaper then those coating..haha

Ah yes, worst nightmare of white car owners.. I'm one of them too laugh.gif

The best way to keep your white car spotless is to wash the car everytime after the driving in the rain, but lets be real.. Most of us have better things to do than washing the car right after the rain, so at the very least wash weekly with stronger shampoo like carpro reset or gyeon restart. But even with that my car that's ceramic coated still get some very faint grey stains after 6-8 months, so usually after a year I would return to the detailer for coating maintenance (as I still have coating warranty with them). They will usually use an even stronger shampoo either more alkaline or acidic shampoo to wash off the stain, if that didn't work, they will spot polish the stain out then recoat the whole car.

As for your water repellant situation, did you do the coating yourself? Did your shampoo contains wax? It felt like the coating wasn't done/cured properly and it was washed away during the rain or your washing session or it could be the wax create another layer that promotes sheeting covering up the ceramic coating effect

Go for good brands one, at least they are proven and tested.
Why not self wax? Cheaper and u can self apply after every car wash.
U can even self apply ceramic coating

DIY wax is another option I'm exploring too since I read someone's claim that the coating doesn't last that long.

Speaking of brands, can you recommend me some?
