Waxing is much cheaper and easier to apply..
For starters, why not try spray wax?
Just spray and wipe, done.. coating is harder for beginners..
I started with soft99 products like speed & barrier, then later tried moved to turtlewax and meguiars.. u can look for reviews of the products on youtube. Spray wax u can apply once a month or whenevefmr u wash ur car.
Also, i highly recommend soft99 glaco for your windscreen and windows to prevent watermarks

Wax: Commonly in paste or liquid form. Usually contains organic compounds like carnauba, beeswax, montan, etc. High-end concourse grade paste waxes usually contain high-grade T1 carnauba. Ease of application varies but are usually easy. Durability is usually low-mid because organic compounds don't tend to last long.

Sealant: Commonly in paste, liquid and spray form. Usually contains inorganic polymers that will cross-link with the paint, thus creating a barrier e.g Silica (SiO2), Graphene, Fluoro polymers, etc. Ease of application varies and usually require a bit more elbow grease e.g Fusso Coat. There is also a "flash time" i.e the time for solvent to evaporate before wiping off. Durability varies depending on form. Paste products tend to last longer than spray products.

Coatings: Full blown paint protection solution. Contains various ingredients, but usual suspect is Silica as the base material. Coatings can be further reinforced with Graphene, nano-diamonds, Titanium, Silicon Carbide, Fluorine, etc. Ease of application varies depending on the percentage of active ingredients. The more the active ingredients, the lesser the solvent/transfer solution. Lesser solvents means more forgiving flash times or leveling time. Durability also depends on the active ingredients. Professional only (not available to consumers or prosumers) coatings will last the longest. Finally, coatings require full prep before application, so polishing is recommended.

If you have the time and money. Go for a coating. If you don't mind or actually enjoy applying something more often, then a wax or sealant is more than enough.

Hope this helps.

Any suggestion cleaning/maintainance for alcantara? I assuming it should be similar as fabric?
For plastic / leather etc I guess those product like perl (carpro) or meguilar Quik Interior should be good?

Alcantara is just some branded synthetic suede. Just clean and maintain using any fabric cleaning products.

Please recommend some budget car wash shampoo.

I plan to wash outdoor and to use a lot of shampoo on each wash to make washing easier and faster.

Thank you.

Try igl wash or osren wash. Buy the larger size, will be cheaper.

Good sunny day after cleaning with clay cloth followed by rhino water spot remover and protected with Adam’s graphene spray. Prep for the new year. iGL graphene coating seems to be holding going into 3rd year

Well from observation, wash with clay cloth, dry, spot remover, rinse and water still beading. Then topped up with graphene spray.

I am also using soft99 ultra glaco on windscreen, so far only complaint is wiper judder when used with windscreen wash concentrate like Bosch for example. Maybe next up is try their own glaco windscreen wash liquid, which manufacturer recommends.

I’ve used proper glass coating in the past, Gyeon View. Only lasted 8 months with semi-shaded condo parking. When it failed, the wiper started to smear and streak as if there’s heavy oil film. The price, preparation work and longevity, I am not sure if it’s worth the effort. At least for this specific coating.

Also used PIAA Si-tech for about 2 years, car under the sun 90% of the time. Had hard water spots issues with rain water baked on dry by hot sun, etched right into the “silicone coating” that the wiper lay down. It affected hydrophobicity and vision in heavy rain (Rainy night, brake lights and oncoming traffic will highlight all the watermarks). At 2 years mark, it also slightly hardened, and started streaking. Also not worth the price imho, could’ve gotten 4 sets of Bosch rubbers, a set of Ultra glaco and glass refresh with extra change.

Currently I am back to using simple Bosch rubber wipers and ultra glaco, apply 2 - 3 times a year if necessary. Affordable, quick, effective.
