You shall have tested it out before making any commitment. I still remember a year ago when I want to get myself a set of M3300 but ended up buying S2.1D, M3300 doesn't sound good enough to my ears.

Agree with kelvinyam. I plan to get a M3300 after hearing so much recommendation for it. But i ended up with M3400 because i like it's bass than the M3300. TRY before you buy..

just got M3300...

i hate telling the truth but M3300 really gave me a big disappointment. sad.gif  As most of u here recommended me go for M3300 due to its clarity and tight bass. U r right about the clarity but i couldnt see there's tight bass ...all it could perform was a weak and inappropriate low frequency to its good treble  blink.gif. I tried maximizing the bass boosting as much as i could and the result got worse and worse  shakehead.gif
------------------
i think that M3300 is just mediocre in performance.  There's certainly a gap between M3300 and ATP3 (the same situation there when i compare it to VS 4121 sad.gif ). Maybe its clarity gets the point but it totally lose the rest !

Thx for all of ur advices. This thread is EDIFIER's FAN CLUB, So definitely some guys assess EDIFIER's products partially. They r give more peformance than EDIFIER can offer customers.
We need more true evalution or feedback  than exaggeration  hmm.gif

Really sorry that you did not get what you expected but you should have really tested it out before making your decision. You asked for an opinion and we gave you our opinion. Opinions and assessments about audio are always subjective and leans to personal taste and budget. Anyway I did tell you to go for other options if you're a bass lover. Good luck in your quest for better sound.

The S2.1MKII will definitely better than the S2.1D because 5 years ago Edifier still don't have the ability to built this kind of system.

Other than the spec that I couldn't digest, what made it so superior until could challenge AegoM?

Is the design final for S2.1MKII ? Will the satellites have piano finishing ?
Hopefully the price can be competitive .... I hope it will be somewhere in the GMX 2.1 price bracket. Else its pretty obvious which is the obvious choice at the same price ... S2.1MKII or AegoM

The design is not final yet. Some touch up on the outlook and the satellite will have the piano finish. The price of S2.1MKII will be higher than GMX 2.1 and itha ve the digital output and higher power (around 300W).

For GMX range, u can try the S2.1M which is 6.5" woofer (power rate: 80W) and the price should be higher than the current S2.1 and below the GMX 2.1. The sound quality definitely will better than the old S2.1D. U can try the prototype in our showroom.

Beside that, we will have another version call S2.1, which have 8" woofer driver. Hopefully the price is at GMX2.1 bracket.

This year looks to be quite an exciting year for Edifier. One comment though ... you guys really need to do something about the naming of the new models ... so many variations of S2.1 rclxub.gif

For music

2.0 - try the R1900T3
2.1 - try the M3300 or coming models like S2.1M & S2.1

well, in fact what is the definition of tight bass? perhaps the tight of ur meaning is different with other's definition.
by the budget price, i really won't think you can get a superb setup with wide sound stage, transparent sound, well define treble, sweet vocal, and tight bass all in one. else why we bother to spend couple thousand to buy an ENTRY level of hifi speaker? even AEGO M were f**ked up by people claiming it's emphasized on vocal, treble, lack in bass, yada yada...
IMHO within price range of RM 1000, all we can do is to find a speaker sound that suit our own taste, we can't get an nice all rounder with that price, as it is mainly design to use as multimedia speaker / computer speaker which end up playing majority MP3 or loosely format.

i had two MP220, with price of it RM 99, i can buy an creative 2.1 speaker already. but heck i know there will be some sacrificed. i want vocal, it gave me vocal, that's good enough for the price, i won't blame it for unable to produce bass. just same theory, buying somethings within a budget price, we should be prepare for some "flaws" that had with it. and what you should really do is to test it out, to see u can detect the flaws, or u can tolerance it or not.

exactly true man, u r genius! i am strongly agree with ur point there. u really point out the truth. rclxms.gif

for me, tight bass definition is good dumping effect response bass. M3300, S2.1, Aego they all are tight bass speaker. loose bass speaker is like sonic gear bluethunder series , VS4121. wanna know a bass is tight or not, go study dumping effect then u know wat actually 'tight' means. smile.gif

Maybe we should stop using these audiophile jargons like "tight bass" when giving recommendations and stick to layman's term tongue.gif

xterminator: Tell us more about your test. Give a review if possible. Many of us are to far away to visit the showroom.

i had chance to compare the difference between M3300 and VS4121 side by side. For the Vs4121 i found that the mid's really bad and the bass is powerful and not good...somehow it may produce so much bass but in form of "u..u.u.." <- Did u mean that "not tight" ?
