@Xeon, Genius Thx for your reply

but being a owner of GMX 2.1 i think that i tilt to Genius2006's evaluation. Maybe the bass overwhelms the treble in some kinds of music but the overall performance is great with a little adjustment.

In the section I as i mentioned above, i've never tested Edifier 2.1D so i dont know what to say about it.... For the rest i think Cs -21 wont stand a chance in comparison to GMX. The MX 5021 is somehow the real competitor to my hero GMX but i prefer GMX.

I divided those speakers into two groups mainly just because their price ...the 1st group is > 100$ and the second one is < 50$ and their power (RMS) too. Doubtlessly, the 2nd group has less power than 1st one.

I'm living @ my university's dormitory with 3 students. My GMX rarely raises it's voice because it usually annoys my friends (so loud). So i'm thinking something else that has less power but fair in performance (which is not too bad in comparison to my GMX). Maybe after the deal, i will have some extra money...(hix i'm planning downgrade my speaker when everybody want to upgrade ...)

So, should i go for AL ATP3 or Edifier M3300 (3310 or 3400-these models are available in my local warehouses ) ? How good are they ? (i'm afraid of selling them instantly when i get 1 of them shipped !)

My vote goes to M3300. It's a good speaker for music superb clarity and tight bass. Performance with movies is also good but if you're a bass head or gamer, then go for others. Of all the budget models you listed, M3300 wins hands down ... at least for me  smile.gif

just got M3300...

i hate telling the truth but M3300 really gave me a big disappointment. sad.gif As most of u here recommended me go for M3300 due to its clarity and tight bass. U r right about the clarity but i couldnt see there's tight bass ...all it could perform was a weak and inappropriate low frequency to its good treble blink.gif. I tried maximizing the bass boosting as much as i could and the result got worse and worse shakehead.gif
------------------
i think that M3300 is just mediocre in performance. There's certainly a gap between M3300 and ATP3 (the same situation there when i compare it to VS 4121 sad.gif ). Maybe its clarity gets the point but it totally lose the rest !

Thx for all of ur advices. This thread is EDIFIER's FAN CLUB, So definitely some guys assess EDIFIER's products partially. They r give more peformance than EDIFIER can offer customers.
We need more true evalution or feedback than exaggeration hmm.gif

exactly true man, u r genius! i am strongly agree with ur point there. u really point out the truth.  rclxms.gif

for me, tight bass definition is good dumping effect response bass. M3300, S2.1, Aego they all are tight bass speaker. loose bass speaker is like sonic gear bluethunder series , VS4121. wanna know a bass is tight or not, go study dumping effect then u know wat actually 'tight' means.  smile.gif

i had chance to compare the difference between M3300 and VS4121 side by side. For the Vs4121 i found that the mid's really bad and the bass is powerful and not good...somehow it may produce so much bass but in form of "u..u.u.." <- Did u mean that "not tight" ?

from the imformation u trying to carry out, i think that was call boomy bass, not loose bass. boomy bass is worse than loose bass. boomy bass is loose, but loose bass not must be boomy.  for example, M3300 bass is considering tight, but have u try turn the bass to the maximum point? u will hear the "wu..wu..wu.." sound also, that is exaggeration in bass causing the bass bommy. lets talk back the VS4121, the bass natively is loose. even though u turn the bass to just a quarter position, u will find that the bass reponse is longer time and softer and not hard hitting, that is the loose bass. nobody want a loose bass, loose bass is inaccurate bass, no matter how loud it can produce. loose bass is bad control or lost control from the amp to driving the subwoofer smile.gif

that's what i intended to tell u about VS 4121.
