RM400...maybe can get a pair of UHF, VHF price a bit higher.Maybe can look up for 'cheap' Kenwood or Motorola or KYT or others brand.

Depend on your usage, UHF or VHF almost same, both have pro and con.
Also can go to upcoming Mares Flea Market,can 'cuci mata' also good place to seek for an advice for any kind of radios...first Sunday every month.

why susah2 .. take a trip down la .. naik itu double decker bus .. if you're thinking of having and using it for years down the road, I'll suggest to go for the "real" amateur radio equipment, those sold by Yaesu, ICOM, Kenwood .. most of them are built to last..

.. ... not only built to last but resale value ada. No like RM1-2k handphone that will last 6 months before the clubbing gals calls you uncle.

yalo the best brands are still yaesu ah icom ah kenwood ah motorola ah those china brands are juz like 'toys' kinda thing like something that can stand in to use ah but not to use in a long term wan, i'd get 1 too in fact im getting the wouxun dual band 1 to keep as spare handy but price a lil steep lor

bro might i ask, wat gps are u using? where did u get it? can recommend? im missng a gps only n w

My setup is a bit different, I'm using Nuvi350 connected to OpenTracker2 which then goes into my TMV71A using data cable. I got the Nuvi from UK, my friend brought it back .. with this setup, I could see others on my Nuvi display and I could send and receive messages too.

GPS, you could ask Ruth.. he just got his from Thailand and he is testing it right now.

Anyway, you could see me on the map now .. somehow, no digipeater could be found but only igates (few of them)..
