Added on November 6, 2009, 7:26 amBut guys, there will be no ending talking about this so-called SOP (trust me, there is no SOP documentation available for hams in Malaysia). Anyway, check my blog .. Me and few others are turning off our APRS equipment.. digital mode is not in our emission code table .. either for 9Mx or 9Wx .. it is illegal for hams in Malaysia to work on digital mode (including RTTY etc..).

well actually i didn't ask bout the using of q code.. just confuse by the term jaluran n simplek. as to my understanding both r communication through the frequency.

as for the digital modes... i also realize that in our AA the is no digital mode class of emission allowed in 9w AA.. but not sure for the 9M aa.. i just want to start. was going to buy the gps reciever n the tracker... hehehe...

That is a bit vague but I would guess he is talking about repeater and simplex.

For repeater there are 2 frequencies, the input and the output. Lets take an example if the frequency is 147.000


You ---------> 146.400 ( Repeater input ) --> 147.000 ( Repeater output ) ----------> Friend and entire Peninsular

You----------------------------------147.000------------------------------------------------> Friend and limited coverage. ( SIMPLEX )

U know what is QRX...if u dun know ...pls refer to MCMC handbook or ARRL handbook ...there is no such thing as QRX langsung QRT... I'm not sure where u guys listen and learned this... wiraone..i'm sure that u learned from friend...its a wrong combination..very very wrong...and u guys thought its very cool rite...

hey..u got ur hf rig..why dun u monitor on Hf and see how other ham from outside malaysia and see how they communicate....would you ?

VHF is so clear..u guys have big big 2m antenna...double 5/8 lamda...repeater...from north to south...line so clear..no atmospheric noise...why still what to use the Q code ??????????????????????/ not understand..why like to QQQQQQ

QQQQ is design at first for CW transmission

Totally talk like nonsense... call self a ham...but dunknow what is ham about..only knoe put long long antenna at the back of the car...put big big callsign sticker at the back of the car to show off only... only know how to grab the PTT cakap cakap cakap...cakap kosong je...

just go and subscribe the electcom trunk radio line and u can talk from north to south as u like......no difference...

baguslah macam tu

nak tanya satu soalan. boleh tak kita tarik api (elektrik) dari sumber elektrik untuk radio/kaset kita yang kat dalam console radio tu. Maksudnya sumber elektrik tu kita pecahkan jadi 2. Satu untuk mobile rig dan satu lagi untuk radio kaset kita.
Atau pun lebih baik tarik terus api dari bateri kereta.... mana yang lebih bagus? minta pandangan rakan2 semua

opsss..jangan bro, sebab wayar original kereta tu kecik je,boleh tampung dalam 10 Ampere je.Lagi satu kalau diamati,wayar yang dibekalkan bersama rig/radio kita tu amat besar.Jadi amatlah tidak direkomenkan untuk 'tap' dari sumber-sumber bekalan dari dalam kenderaan.Bayangkan bila anda transmit lebih dari 10w..mau cair kabel kecik tu..

Tap dari bateri kenderaan adalah sangat digalakkan,pastikan dipasang fius dengan kadar yang ditetapkan..

Lagi satu soalan biasanya rig memerlukan 13.8v (icom 2200H) tapi bateri kereta baru 12v... tak ada kesan terhadap rig ke? Sapa2 yang ada ilmu jomlah kita kongsi2 bersama

13.8V itu adalah voltage rujukan,apabila kita start kereta biasanya voltage bateri akan naik dari 12V sehingga ke 14V. Ini disebabkan bateri kereta sedang di'charge' oleh alternator kereta. Tiada mudaratnya, rig biasanya boleh beroperasi dari julat 10V- 16V (lihat buku panduan).

Jangan terlebih voltage yang ditetapkan, dan jangan terbalik polariti (+,-)

terima kasih atas info tersebut. Ada soalan lagi. Ada tak cara sama ada melalui pengalaman ke....SWR meter tak ada, so macam mana nak tahu SWR kita lari atau tidak. Sebab saya pernah transmit kat jalopy, dalam 5 watt. Handy tu sampai jejak 50 darjah celcius (aircond kereta tak on masa tu) Adakah itu normal?

Mana2 rakan yang ada info tentang swr ni...marilah kita berkongsi pengalaman. Saya budak baru belajar...

Just got ft-60r as 1st rig...next target will be ft-8800r (for next 10 months..must ikat perut again ) Quick comment for ft-60...its bulky n rugged (not as rugged as vx7r)
