for those who's on unifi30 or 50, you can try streaming 4K UHD Netflix trial now..well since last month. I have tried two months, of course both on free one month trials
the problem now, it's tempting to continue the subscription, but there is no contract, meaning you can terminate anytime |

I know it can be terminated at anytime but I'm still skeptical. the problem now, it's tempting to continue the subscription, but there is no contract, meaning you can terminate anytime Maybe I should give it a try because I know it will send reminders when the free trial is expiring. |

QUOTE(nikrizal @ Feb 14 2016, 01:43 PM) I can assure you they never charge my card, well make sure you cancel the subscription before the trial ends. they did charge my cc during the free trial!but it was easy to cancel, online chat to confirm refund, got it promptly. i resubscribed hd pack rm42 2 weeks after expiry. will upgrade to uhd rm51 when more new 4k stuff comes out. unifi30 is more than enough for uhd 4k pack - almost zero hiccup. the best thing about NETFLIX is its stability, ease of use, almost all hd video and dd5.1 audio. no other app comes near to it - not iflix, kodi, atog, hypptv everywhere or another dozen apps i have used before. so, rm42-51 is well worth it as long as one is happy with the selection. netflix thread: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3828808/+260#bottom This post has been edited by AVFAN: Feb 14 2016, 02:30 PM |

I usually use google dns (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4). Just now I ran 'namebench' to determine fastest dns and to be surprise they suggest me P1 dns: 122.255.96.132 which is 8.1% faster than google dns. The second recommended is ultradns: 156.154.70.1
you might want to try run this test.. This post has been edited by nikrizal: Feb 14 2016, 02:28 PM |

I read elsewhere in LYF that the bundled HyppTv contract is only 12 months.
Can I unsucscribe HyppTV then (after 12 month) and only pay for Unifi? |

Yes, there'll be a difference in available download bandwidth for all... Unless the lag you experience is as a result of upload speeds... QOS rules.. QUOTE(hafiez @ Feb 14 2016, 06:49 PM) Yes, it's just you and a fine tuned network is quite useful. If your current network conditions suck, get a better router & learn how to optimize your network. This post has been edited by voncrane: Feb 14 2016, 07:05 PM |

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Feb 14 2016, 07:00 PM) Yes, I've experienced this too.. Using the stock router, there's something about playing videos with the YouTube app or Chrome browser that tends to "suck" all available bandwidth.. It's like, it grinds every other connected devices' speed to a halt till the app is stopped. This post has been edited by voncrane: Feb 14 2016, 07:11 PM |
