speaking about the back seats...does anyone feel that the back seats are a little too soft for a family sedan? The fabric ones are somehow softer than the leather options.

Just tested Android auto on the Malaysia civic... Only google maps for navigation at the moment, hopefully waze can tap along in future

Shouldn't be too far away. As Google also owns Waze, so maybe within a couple of months it'll be compatible

Think it is due to the thin padding inside the seats.

Question to owners, would like to check when you use the S mode does it go into shift immediately? Or it is still similar to D but with a more aggressive shifting where the rpm stays on higher range than D?

Civic delivery is surprisingly quite fast, from time loan approved, I got my car within 2 weeks, in KL. It all depends on your SA and whether the outlet has more allocation or not. Bigger dealerships command more buying power.

had a look at this Civic the other day. I could not tell the difference between this and the Bezza. Both had appalling interior plastics. Both had the same size boot. Both are feminine pondan-mobiles. At least with Bezza you save RM80K, and you won't look like a fool stranded by the roadside with a failed CVT. Test drove the Civic. Road noise was terribly loud. B-pillar trims emitted creaking sounds when going over bumps. Wind noise started at 80kph. Transmission made a lot of whiny noise. There's delay in the drive-by-wire response. Brakes were spongy. Speakers were tin sounding. Aircond wasn't cold enough. Ride was harsh and the car vibrated a lot. Steering wasn't responsive enough. Pick up (0 to 40) was sluggish. Radio reception was bad. Seatbelt kept getting stuck. Windows wound slowly with excessive noise. Honda's quality has gone downhill in recent years. All they care about is getting cars to look pretty to please yuppies and daffodils. Can't they make a decent car? This Civic is no better that a Proton Saga. Shameful. A peon's car.
Going around talking crap i see. Why don't u use your original nick? Why register a new one just to talk rubbish? doh.gif

But regardless what nick u use, even if your points above were credible, I would still accept. But 90% of what you wrote was complete bollocks. I would gladly thrash your argument point by point if you use your original nick. The remaining 10% was accurate I must say.

FYI, I drive a F10 and my judgement of the Civic was based on that and I was impressed with the Civic. A car that gives so much for just 113K. That's value for money for sure.

Next time, if u want to be taken seriously, at least come up with a more accurate and concrete overall argument. biggrin.gif

Quite obvious, as all the reviews i the US , Canada all praised the new Civics NVH and ride and handling and yet he claims the opposite.
I wonder for which car brand does he work for, so unprofessional.

Your arguments are fabricated to trash competitors. There's nothing concrete about your arguments.

I just test drove the 1.5 TC-P a few days ago, it had none of the issues you mentioned. Acceleration was brisk for a CVT, there was no noticeable CVT whine and the cabin was relatively quite. Steering response is good enough with little deadzone off-center, and definitely no creaking noise whatsoever in my test drive car. Aircon was also fine that I actually ask the SA to turn it down because it was getting uncomfortably cold.

My only nitpick is that the engine noise became abit intrusive beyond 3k RPM and using the paddle shifters was not a terribly satisfying experience.

Didn't test the sound system and the power window though.

To go beyond 3k rpm meaning you step hard on the pedal.
In normal drive the Engine sound still very low.

It's a "VTEC" turbo, how can I resist pedaling it hard tongue.gif

Well to be honest the quality of the engine sound is not very pleasant...it sounds like a buzz than a roar, compounded by it being a CVT car, the engine noise is a very monotonous, drone-y "Buurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr".....one of the reasons why CVT is often maligned in car enthusiast circles.

But like I said, I was just nitpicking. Other than that, I find it to be a nice car and good value for it's price. The cabin size, especially the rear seats, surprised me the most.

Some people like the engine sound when they step the pedal. Not sure about the Civic 1.5T but the Mazda 3 gives a satisfying "Vroom" when you step on it to 3500rpm.

Yep the CX3 at home has a decent engine note when pedaled hard.
