same like top spec altis can buy low spec camry, y wan go for altis? Must ask urself u need the space, or u wan a top range fun to drive C-seg or not, or u need the classy look of Accord.
*
RM150k can get a mid spec Accord dy with cruise control, reverse camera, DVD player, power seats etc. etc.....It is hardly kosong.

The base spec Accord is only 141k.

Furthermore, somebody has already mentioned the Jetta and the upcoming Focus 1.5T.

but 150k still not 2.4L right? i never drive a d seg car before but feedbacks are 2.0 hardly very fun to drive, like uncle car becos underpowered for d seg.
*
My bro-in-law has a 2.0 (the base spec one, though). The performance is reasonable, goes up and down genting without much struggle.

It's not exactly what I would call fun to drive, but it is not bad.

But still....RM150k for a C-segment (and summore possibly CKD) is asking a lot, turbo or not. As for the fun-to-drive part, if it comes with CVT then......

Of course this civic is not built to race but it's power hike is indeed a technological bonus.

The design language of this civic leans towards a more mature audience. Since civic fb, most ricers have gone to Mazda 3 and let's hope they stay there laugh.gif
*
If anything, the new Civic looks way more rice than the FB.

I think it is abundantly clear who Honda is aiming at with this design language, and it's not the mature buyers.

Most manufacturers are going with more radical design language rather than bland as the demand is for exciting designs even for mature buyers (see the latest Mercedes and Lexus designs).
*
There are sporty, exciting designs and then there are rice designs.

To each his own.

Your booking fee is low. I thought more than RM100k vehicle required at least RM1000 to reserve a vehicle.
*
According the the Hire Purchase Act, the booking fee CANNOT EXCEED 1 percent of the car's price. If the car is RM130k, the dealer CANNOT accept more than RM1.3k.

The Act does not stipulate the minimum amount. The dealer can charge RM1 for booking fee if they want.

Last time when I was buying an 80k car I wanted to pay my SA RM1k, he declined citing the above rule, and only took RM500 from me.

Yes. If the vehicle less than RM100k, you only required to pay RM500. I'm also purchased RM90k range vehicle before.
*
Doesn't matter more than 100k or less, point is, the dealer cannot take more than 1% of vehicle price as booking. As long as it is 1% then it's OK.

That is actually a very attractive proposal for me hmm.gif Apart from Jetta, this would be the other sub 150k C-seg with rear vents?

Wow if the mid spec turbo is under 130k OTR then it is a very attractive deal.

Well at least more attractive than the 144k Ford...

spec to spec, yep. high spec focus only have halogen headlight which will be the same as mid spec turbo civic
*
I'm fine with halogen. It's the lack of projectors that irked me.

LED headlights....the bulbs better not bakar....else will be a hefty repair bill tongue.gif

but led headlamps have much higher lifespan. of course it could be broken due to other stuff

and i believe headlamp is covered udner warranty?
*
Even if it has 20 times the lifespan it is still cheaper to use halogen (if LED headlamp RM2k PER SIDE, I can change 20++ times Halogen bulb). But that is assuming you will need to change the whole headlamp everytime a LED bulb burns lah.

But hey if you love the looks and have the cash to back it up, go for it thumbup.gif

136k+ for full spec ?

Is that OTR price?

If yes then this will definitely sell like hotcakes. If not, the Premium spec OTR will breach 140k, but even then the mid spec 1.5T will still sell like hotcakes.

No differs required.
It is not doubt not as groundbreaking as FD.
It still sold more than half a million unit in the first two year being introduced into US.
(Still, FD are even better)
*
Talking about price in MYR, why US muncul? sleep.gif

The FB was underwhelming, coupled with the increasing popularity of the well-equipped kimchi marques and increasingly affordable conti C-segments locally, the FB was not very popular compared to the Altis who continued, although strenuously as well, held it's ground.

What I meant to say when I say it would sell like hotcakes, is that at that price point with those features, it would dominate the C-segment once more like how the new City robbed the Vios of it's throne.

Just a though, when Toyota offer only 2 air-bags why the \k slam and shot them as sometime totally not acceptable and warn honda on the importance on must have a lot of air-bag...

and Mazda2 with 2 air-bags is acceptable?  hmm.gif
*
Toyota was unacceptable because it does not have ESC, whereas other B-segments in that price range even the later variants of previous gen City is already equipped with ESC.

Of course no slotted/drilled rotors la.

The Civic X is a family compact car not a sports car.
