Actually, those basic questions on the different between 1.8, 1.5TC and 1.5TC-P can be found on honda malaysia official websites, for eg. the power seat and etc.. http://www.honda.com.my/model/major_equipment/civic

Yes all variants have powered seats and nobody is changing the seat. Only the leather is installed.

Even more reason if you want leather, either get it factory fitted or a shop with personnel who really know what they are doing with proven track record.

I just booked the coating package for my wife's car (when it arrives). RM2,180. Same MOHS+ package as my own car. Regal Valet was having a promo last weekend. 30-40% discount with additional 2 years warranty. Mine only had 2 years warranty.

Its really good. But most importantly im impressed with their after sales service. Not calculative at all.

http://blog.regalvalet.my/services/ceramic-quartz-coating/

If anybody is interested, I can speak to the owner and get a group discount.

Yup. In this case Honda Malaysia doesn't retrofit hence my earlier comment on getting a leather detailer who deals with high end conti's.

Like I said earlier, the heat issue is a non issue for the moment. Asking a million times wont provide any solutions. Turbo cars generally give off more heat than a NA engine. That's a fact. U cannot compare the heat discharge between a turbo vs a normal Vios for example.

There are more than enough reviews out there on the internet for u to read. And just cuz 100 owners on LYN don't experience an over heating engine over the next 6 months doesn't mean there wont be one in the future. You might be the first to experience it 1 year down the line. So waiting is not a logical move unless u're doing it for financial reasons or to compare other makes. The wait list now is already 3-4 months.

I booked a 1.8L for my wife cuz the specs were top class and we don't need 2 turbo's in the family especially since the Honda version is a soft turbo. So I wasn't prepared to spend 14K more. If ure not someone who enjoys a fast drive often enough, I suggest u stick to the 1.8L.

kinda regret mentioning the engine runs hot now...

btw.. does anyone know if the TC-P has LED for the backlights?

i just realised the TC has a bulb... LEDs should be way much cooler.

and where can i find aftermarket parts?? i wanna get a boot spoiler.. will it void warranty??

extra 14k for a turbo 1.5 spec, why not get the 1.8 n turbo it, instead of spend 14k on soft turbo, u can get a real turbo for 9k, the rest of the money spend on better brake pads

The engine overheating issue is not an issue. It's been discussed many times and there is no conclusion because it was a SINGLE case. So pointless asking and discussing the same thing unless and until it happens.

There are more important things to be discussed and this thread should be discussing those points. Most of the discussions here have been good but let's weed out the nonsensical ones. If its not nipped early, we risk turning this thread into some fanboy thread discussing trivial issues.

No issue so far. Some very good discussions here already. But let's just cease with the overheating issue.

Again this is my opinion / suggestion and nobody is imposing any rules. You can either choose to follow or continue your discussion on the heat. Read up & understand before passing judgement on me.

Overheating issue happen in Thailand is 1.5 Turbo or 1.8L actually?? I read online some say 1.5 turbo some say 1.8L..

You are recommending us to void 1.8L warranty many times by doing that.

It was RM2,180 yesterday. 4 years warranty. For those getting the 1.8L, the MOHS+ package also comes with a fabric seat coating.

It was me who asked about the glove compartment. Thanks for the confirmation - sad about it being omitted, but not really a dealbreaker.

The auto headlights can be adjusted? That's great! My wife's HRV also has auto headlights, but it can't be adjusted - and it's really sensitive too - driving through a short tunnel (1 second drive through) will turn the lights on immediately.

I hope I can get my car this week. My SA promised me I'll get the car within this month biggrin.gif

In the meantime, please continue to share your observations about the car - keeps us excited
