As i said in few posts earlier, this so called rumor will more likely be the facelifted accord, NOT THE NEW CIVIC. Even thailand and singapore haven't launch, where got so fast launch here?

You can start holding your breath for the launch during 2nd half of the year, but i still hold to my estimation to be in Q4 2016.
*
Thailand is confirmed to be launching in March bro. India too.

Civic 2016 will be available on 12 March 2016. We will know what the specs and accessories available there - most will carry over to Malaysia. The engine remote start will be available in Thailand at the least.

Just met my friendly SA. I may get the first batch as my booking is number 2 in queue tongue.gif

Anyway, just a few tidbits:
1. Auto lock is back - it was present in FD, but disappeared in FB - due to JPJ requirements apparently.
2. Android Auto & Apple Car Play READY - means that if Carplay & Android Auto is available in Malaysia, it will be automatically available
3. NO LANEWATCH - this was due to lanewatch is expensive and will push the price to above RM140K for the top of the line Civic Turbo. Honda is keen to keep the price below RM140K for the top of the line spec
4. Most importantly - REAR AIRCOND! rclxm9.gif

Apparently the waiting queue has already reached 4 months here in JB. Might be longer elsewhere though...

4 months for all models?
IINM, most of the people will go for 1.5 mid spec
*
Not too sure on that. I was asking on my particular model which is the top line spec.

There's nothing to be excited regarding turbo charged cars. It will beat NA once they get to their efficency zone. Just enjoy it and don't start racing with VW or Ford. Just drive safe. There's no prize for winning.
*
True. I'm currently driving a Civic FD2 2.0. I'm not looking for a Type R, but something that sips less fuel (currently I'm averaging 10km/l city driving) and more powerful (+18hp and +22Nm) than my current car - of course it has more bells and whistles too.

With more torque on the low end, it will mean more power from standing start. I got no issues with CVT as I previously drove a Honda City VTEC 2006 - I don't need to feel the "turbo kick". Civic Turbo is a family sedan car. If you need a poweful race ready Civic, you should get a Honda Civic Type R.

If you say, need manual la, need normal autobox la, please get another car - this Civic Turbo is what I want, CVT and all.

1.5 turbo with cvt and only have 220nm of torque.
Nothing to brag about.

That figure already been in malaysia long long time ago.

For eg vw jetta 1.4 tsi 160ps and 240nm of torque + superfast dsg gearbox.
Last time vw offee 88k sudah dapat lol

Heck even 508 pugeuot 1.6 thp 165ps 240nm.
Thp engine sudah how long been here ?

Vw polo gti 1.4tsi 177hp 250nm , pair wirh dsg superfast gearbox

Nothing to brag about. For car ethuasist that play with 290-300hp above, golf r , subbies, those evos ,even proton wira with evo 3 engine, 172hp 220nm seem nothing.
*
Agreed. This Civic's turbocharging is not about performance per se, but about efficiency. It's basically a 1.5L engine, but with 2.4L engine performance. It's not a VW Golf GTI, but rather a VW Golf TSI.

DSG gearbox? Yes it's fast, but not really reliable is it? You won't get asked how fast your car can go, but rather, how reliable is your gearbox? biggrin.gif

Never had any problems with my City CVT last time, and neither did my friends. I guess the CVT had a bad rep from the olden days

Is Rear Ventilation Air Conditioning fitted as standard equipment for all three variants?  hmm.gif

Not too sure, but I think so. I was asking on the top spec, but I think the rear aircon is standard.

Test drove the Civic 1.5T-P today. Damn syiok! My current car is an FD2, so I feel it's quite a significant upgrade! My SA says I'm due to get it by the end of the month, so that's good!

White
Sporty look
Make the car look bigger
Water mark easily spotted. Tedious to take care

Silver
Premium look
Make the car look muscular coz shows more bodyline better than white
Look good in most lighting condition.
Easy to take care if you are lazy like me.

So I suggest you go for white. 😄
*
Agreed with your assessment. My current car is the Civic 2.0 Concept M which only came in Taffeta White. I love the colour and how it makes the car look more sporty, but I loathe the effort it takes to take care of the car.

I'm choosing the Lunar Silver this time round. Easier to maintain.

I read, but if you read it more carefully, BUT DIFFERENT WITH THE US MARKET, Canada is recalling 2.0 while the 1.5 is ok. That implies that the US 1.5 is being recalled.
*
Nope. US recall is also the 2.0 version. NOT turbo http://www.autoblog.com/2016/02/24/2016-ho...ecall-official/

It depends on your ride. Just now I drive out from the showroom and along the way can get only 8.XX km/l with RON 95 inside the petrol tank. After refuel with V Power Racing, now can get 12.XX km/l. As a conclusion, the km/l indicated on the meter is subject to the quality of fuel you pump to the vehicle.
*
Aiya... Don't use the meter la... Fill fuel 100%, use the car, then topup the fuel and calculate. That's the real world use Fuel consumption. Congrats on your new ride!
