QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jun 1 2016, 02:15 PM) Those who have gotten their loans pre-approved for the Civic, mind sharing your best rates? I got 2.91 from Maybank Selayang. 2.91 is for how many years loan? You made the booking before you apply the loan?

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jun 1 2016, 02:53 PM) Thanks. I heard from Ambank, if more than 6 or 7 years, then rate will be variable rate, something like housing loan calculation, follow BLR. How about your 9 years? is fixed rate or variable?

QUOTE(jack bauer @ Jun 2 2016, 08:55 AM) based on HRV current booking history, lowest spec HRV has longer waiting period (>3months) while highest specs can get within a month. I guess HM production line prioritised model with high booking volume or they assemble more high spec HRV to boost high spec sales. Last time when HRV first launched in malaysia was CKD or from Thailand?

QUOTE(mthc @ Jun 4 2016, 08:07 AM) It's definitely a wise move to take a 9 years loan given the time value of money in 9 years time where the int rate which is lower than inflation rate. But, for HP loan, the first few years only serve the interest, not the loan principal. Is it worth?

QUOTE(Alternation @ Jun 6 2016, 11:00 AM) Cimb can go as low as 2.7% for 9 years and 2.6% for 7 years and lesser. The final rate is based in applicants credit rating. I plan for 4 years, hopefully can get 2.5%.

QUOTE(Sanity @ Jun 8 2016, 09:55 AM) Sound argument...totally agreed. The 1.5 turbo engine may give new buyers some uncertainties judging from the complains from Peugeot 308 turbo engine. Read from the internet, some engine need to be overhauled at 40,000 km due to carbon buildup. Wonder how much does it cost? I think Honda Malaysia provide 5 years unlimited mileage warranty, right?

QUOTE(freeman1 @ Jun 8 2016, 10:08 AM) No photo leak yet, that's why it's worth waiting... somemore Toyota is setting up its new plant in Klang, may be a big price slash for Altis CKD unit. The plant's construction will begin in the second half of this year and will commence operations as early as 2019. So, you need to wait until 2020.

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jun 8 2016, 10:12 AM) The 5 years unlimited mileage warranty is actually a con in some ways to ensure you keep servicing with them. Yes it gives you additional peace of mind but Honda servicing isn't exactly cheap either. The 5 yr warranty is good for conti cars e.g BMW cuz u would expect more issues with them since almost everything in the car is electronics controlled. But for Japanese cars, im quite happy with a shorter warranty period. Most average workshops out there can easily maintain a Japanese car at a much lower price. In fact, most of them could even do a better job than Honda itself. If Honda offered 5 yrs warranty with free servicing for say 5 years, just like BMW then it would be a win win situation. But I guess we cant expect everything eh? I agree that for normal service like change oil, oil filter can just do outside workshop, but for this new car engine we don't know how complicated for the electronic component applied. Many parts are control by electronic. Are you comfortable to send to outside ah beng workshop for service or repair? What I mean is if the car is new 1.5 turbo. Which is the first turbo Japanese car in malaysia, correct me if i am wrong.

From the spec, all 3 variants are PGM-FI (Electronic Fuel Injection), I thought the Turbo version is direct injection?

QUOTE(celciuz @ Jun 8 2016, 06:40 PM) Even the 1.8L also got EEV status? Interesting... I hope the price would be competitive, assuming EEV should be better than the current 2.0 Navi? Don't forget HM added many new features.
