QUOTE(SamD @ Feb 23 2016, 10:47 PM) Not entirely correct. This was what happened to me this morning : thanks a lot mate, u save something from my wallet.. i just did mine just now.. was on surfmore 75 + supp surfmore 30.. 1. I called up the CS at 123 and told them I wanted to speak with the loyalty team because I was seriously intending to port out but not yet initiated the porting process. 2. They did the standard account verification, created a ticket and told me someone from the Maxis would call me later. 3. Then, in the afternoon I received the call, and the guy introduced himself from Maxis and discussed about my intention to port out. 4. He then asked about how much data I wanted and presented the various available (read "counter") plans. 5. One of them is the RM68 with 5GB with unlimited call and SMS, valid for two years/24 months and no contract. Basically it's just the RM158 OnePlan with RM90 rebated over 24 months. Same goes for the RM188 OnePlan with RM100 rebate. 6. He further stated that during the 24 months period, I'm free to change plan or port out and there will no penalty imposed. 7. I asked for email confirmation on these T&C, he responded "can't spell these out in email" but such will be reflected in the new bill. 8. I accepted the offer, but since I was still with contract on the existing plan, I was told to pay up the remaining termination penalty cost first. 9 He then activated the new RM68 plan for me So, bottomline you just need to call up the CS and take it from there. 1. called to CS at 123 asked them better plan for my account 2. he bla bla bla and said no plan can actually save my bills 3. ask him if there is any arrears amount i need to settle before PORTING OUT. 4. at this point he politely ask me to be on hold while he get someone from 'backroom team' if there is any better plan to offer 5. rest sama macam atas but i told him i need something for my supp. he offer maxis one share 48 per month. 6. so basically mine will be 5gb share between both lines (i set to main 4gb + supp 1gb), monthly 68+48+gst. unlimited call n sms! |

Yes, you can. Just pay up the remaining termination penalty cost and you'll be OK. P/S:The CS @ 123 will pretend to tell you there is no "loyalty team", however you just need to insist anyhow thanks for all the valuable info. It may help those existing subscribers |

We noticed that there has been some speculation on recent posts put up regarding special offers given to certain Maxis customers and we’d like to clear up a few things.
Yes, other than our standard promotions, our marketing team often pilots non-standard offers for marketing research where a small number of customers are selected based on certain criteria such as their tenure with us, their monthly usage, payment records, location and many others non-common customer profile attributes. These offers are by invitation only and if you are selected, GREAT! You will receive that special call So, we hope that this has helped to clear up some concerns as we wouldn’t want anyone to attempt to port out only to be disappointed. |

Anyone knows the personal twitter account / email address of Morten Lundal (Maxis CEO)?
Share it with everyone, so we can tweet bomb / SPAM his twitter account / email about these atrocious plans and nitpicking customers This post has been edited by sHawTY: Feb 26 2016, 09:51 AM |

Dizzy just seeing all these comments.
Really wish I can takeup the offer but cant cause Digi and Celcom network really bad, 1 in office and the other at home. How leh? From my experience, Maxis really have the faster and more consistent network. Others: Digi: Tried Digi last year November, after their network upgrade, signal really bad you can see it jumping from EDGE, 3G and LTE so often and that drains battery. Speed is OK if you can get a good signal. Celcom: Have my second line on them now, better signal except at my house in Serdang. However, their speed is really not fast. Most of the time I run speedtest will get only single digit mbps. Also, their customer service is bad lah, first call I got from them was to chase for payment, when I havent even received my bill. Even now 2 months later I have not received a bill from them. Also, try calling their contact centre, you will pengsan leh with the way they handle yoru call. All in all, Maxis is expensive but has it's merits. For me if they come close to the competition, I have no doubt I will stick with them. |

QUOTE(citacitata @ Feb 18 2016, 11:20 AM) I just left Surfmore 75, for First Gold 80! Actually I only pay RM 65 for Surfmore 75. Maxis give me "loyalty rebate" RM 10 every month. you pay almost the same amount. but greater savings in the long run (free calls), at almost the same coverage, at better speed (KV). even I'm surprised by it. celcom data used to suck a lot when I was working in East Malaysia. Surfmore 75 use for several years. Maxis user since 2004. Goodbye Maxis!!! |

QUOTE(cskean @ Feb 22 2016, 08:08 PM) Today finally receive call from loyalty team. Dear Maxis. Please offer me the same package. HeheheThey offer me RM68 for 5GB data & unlimited calls & sms. Guess what, the best part is Without Contract. And yes, I took the offer. They have RM88 for 7GB data, but I think 5GB is more than enough for me... |

Good Job maxis, my gf, siblings and my parents had just ported out one after another, and I will be leaving Maxis real soon. I have been a loyal customer for 6 years, from your 148 plan to 128 but it is getting ridiculous. You think you have the best coverage? Fact is most of us do not live in the forest and those who do, cannot afford your services. Have a nice day.Yes, other than our standard promotions, our marketing team often pilots non-standard offers for marketing research where a small number of customers are selected based on certain criteria such as their tenure with us, their monthly usage, payment records, location and many others non-common customer profile attributes. I will choose to port out too if the company is not paying my phone bill. Since I am covered by my company, I took the oneshare plan, got a free phone and pay the supplementary line which is RM48 a month.

Maxis is all about coverage. Their 4G is stable almost everywhere even on highways.
Celcom 4G not stable. UMobile some areas no coverage. DiGi slightly better. I'm on Maxis legacy plan. VP50 with RM 99 limited 10GB data plan. For Celcom, I'm on the First Basic 38 with 3GB data plan. For UMobile, I'm on the cheapest plan U28 with 3GB data plan. |
