QUOTE(Kataro @ Jan 26 2008, 06:32 PM) I have an idea for you but not sure u will like it or not...first of all, change your 120mm fan which come with the elite 330 to front as intake...then go to buy Cooler Master economical package of silent fan 120 S12... Model number is R4-S2S-124K-GP...it have 4 120mm x 25mm fan which have 44.73CFM each and the noise level is 19.1 dB-A according to the spec given... As you dun want a fan more than 23dBa and not more than RM50...I can only suggest fan like that...else I will recommend Silverstone F121 or F122 which come with fan controller which have over 100CFM...and you can adjust the fan speed to the noise level you bearable with... i din buy the pack, but instead followed ur suggestion on switching places with both my cm 120mm as well as my chapalang 120mm. turns out that the chapalang one once swapped to the back as exhaust, became less audible and now i dun have the noise problem. the chapalang fan also feels stronger and using that as exhaust i think will be better so that the hot air gets sucked out, which is the main point. thanks a lot

QUOTE(afosz @ Jan 27 2008, 11:21 AM) i wanna ask something about air flow. if i want a good airflow in my casing, should i put the intake and exhaust higher CFM is better, or as long there's airflow is enough? for HSF i'm using GeminII with Delta fan as a rule of thumb..rear shud use higher flow fan.. this is to dispersed the heat faster.... Hi all~~ im still new in cooling modding~~ i had some problem about this GSF hope can get some opinion from u guys Currently i just installed new AC Freezer pro 64 currently temperature is like this idle:41C load:65C
using AMD64X2 5200 2.7ghz brisbane , no OC its seems that not much from the AMD stock HSF~~ i had view some of forumer that using the same HSF their temperature is 33C @55C it seems that my one is bit different from them~~
i install it myself and it is first time i installed , dono wheather got problem or not ~~ it doesnot shaking so i assume ok d~~saw some thermal paste squezzing out~~

Your cpu temp are little bit higher .
I'm using AC Freezer 64 Pro too , on my 5000+ BE OC 3.1GHz , idle is 43 C and full load is 56 C .
Maybe you can check the air flow your casing ?

With Brisbane CPU.... the temperature sensor is always not working. Regardless whatever people might say, the only way to get the right temperature is by using external sensor, not thru software.

hi guys...
just wondering, my friend's AMD X2 939 3800+ proc temperature is hovering around 40C to 50C during normal use .
and below is the stress test done using Orthos
completely idle : Core0: 41C Core1: 43C
Orthos load: Core0: 60 Core1: 61
Heatsink: AMD Stock Cooler
any problem with these temperature? ####################################################################### High temperature problem solved! I opened up the casing and saw his heatsink fan was installed the other way round. Instead of blowing air to the heatsink, it sucks air out from heatsink, thus the higher than usual temperature. now running orthos full load with both core temperature around 50C This post has been edited by blessedvillain: Feb 1 2008, 01:35 AM

QUOTE(IcEMoCHa @ Feb 1 2008, 09:18 AM) I thought normally suck and blow not much difference? we supposed to blow fresh cool air to the heatsink... the heatsink fan is the type that is blowing towards the mobo... if it's the tower type, blowing towards the rear casing, then i think suck or blow configuration not much difference...

Will it Collect more Dust with Mesh front panel ?

Will it Collect more Dust with Mesh front panel ? i think the front mess panel does help with the air flow, nothing wrong with that. and yes, the front panel mesh will gather a LOT of dust, especially at the intake area. It will be obvious!

QUOTE(sogoatticus @ Feb 9 2008, 06:24 PM) erk wat do u mean?usually other ppl how much celcius dropped after changing from stock hsf It depends on the cooler they changed to. And it also depends what is the initial temperature on the stock cooler. More than 5C drop should be aite for your cooler.

Dropping from 46-47 (stock HSF) to 39-40 (Gigabyte Volar) is consider a good improvement. Bro CV, by stating rear U mean exhaust fans should have higher CFM than intake right ? What if for CM690 that has 6 fans - 3intake (2 side panel &1 front) and 3exhaust (2 top panel and 1 rear). Hows the fans CFM should be ? Equal ? This post has been edited by mizivincible: Feb 9 2008, 06:47 PM

After lapping, dropped another incredible 7-10C too QUOTE(mizivincible @ Feb 9 2008, 06:44 PM) Bro CV, by stating rear U mean exhaust fans should have higher CFM than intake right ? Then all exhaust use AllnGap's godlike fan, intake just normal one like CM silent maybe All exhaust should be at higher CFM than intake. Moreover if intake at higher CFM, more dust at exterior casing

Me hardwares are just below average so no need hi end casing. But what you said true jugak, exhaust all Delta H series just let the intake blink blink CM or Vizo since exhause fans arent that visible thru the sidewindow.
