After hanging the keys for almost 1 month. Uber send me the weekend quest of 18 trips for rm140. I think I will still keep d keys hanging.

I only get weekend quest of 12 trips for rm30. Or 39trips for rm130. 😡😡

Guys. Can you help me? I dont really understand this fare structure lah. Always confuse.

this one. My payout should be rm12.59 la. But then i collected rm22. This one i untung ahh? Rm12.59 is upfront fare ka?

The first one should be the rider's previously owned money which u helped to collect.

got UPDATE for new legalize uber ???

What we need to prepare?

i understand check up and puspakom for car check

But the driving card and insurance were?

Driving Card = PSV?
Insurance = car insurance or personal?

Last - operators will be required to own an intermediation business licence issued by a regulatory body.

The intermediation business licences are renewable, but operators will not be allowed to transfer or reassign them.

The second one is previously rider got credit from Uber, so he spent on you. nothing affects you. no worries.

these parts still unclear -

~ psv license or juz simple driver card
~ full commercial insurance or just add protection for rider in existing insurance scheme
~ puspakom checking tinted film all has to be tear off to pass the VLT 70% test (by puspakom testing equipment, not tinting shop equipment)
~ car status convert into commercial car in geran, loosing out 2nd hand value ~ most honda, toyota driver would quit bcoz of this, left with proton perodua driver

things unchanged:
- grab/uber apply petrol vs NGV by taxi
- grab/uber pay toll class 1 vs class 4 taxi
- grab/uber not allow take road side rider

things changed:
- any car made can be used by taxi, not just proton. car maker + taxi association happy now.
- taxi can earn both way, no restriction. grab/uber only can get online booking.

When would the thing settle down / be sure?

Wow , but it seem that not much taxi driver using uber?

If it was, then uber were no diff from taxi
( mean , get old car , driver attitude )


and mean that the supply of driver were more now?

what taxi driver want is not having option to drive ublur or crapcar.

what they want is to return to their good old times :- to drive taxi w/o any ride sharing cars around + can freely charge customer at any price they want.

I not sure what taxi thinking , but maybe if the charge according to meter fare , they need to pay back to their boss? i no idea how their income calculated.

But i just go thru uber and grab website , i found that they have specified that NO TAXI , NO BRANDING , NO COMMERCIAL vehicle allow for both , except GrabCar-MyTeksi

Not sure if the new regulation change the rule or not .

Can i know when will the new laws activate? haha

Heard that they just pass it , but not yet implement?

Uber/Grab or any other ride hailing agency got until 1 year to comply to the regulations.
So just wait for the new rules to be implemented. No idea how soon or how late this will take.

running taxi service need taxi permit

last time used to have individual permit and company holding permit - it got one time individual permit no longer issue but all give to company (crony). taxi driver rent car from company daily rate basis. taxi driver themselve need apply taxi driving license. work like that.

uber already sign up partnership with 500 taxi driver before parliament pass this - why, ppl know uber lack of driver now. also wonder if their app no change means ppl accidentally caught up by a coming taxi instead of private car unlike grab got separate it out.

no surprise if uber quit malaysia later. if grab bcome monopoly, it would become end of the day for drivers too regardless how many driver association u have, x suka keluar je.

Also, now got a grey area which must be clear out:

WHO CAN BAN DRIVER?

for taxi, only SPAD can ban driver revoke their license, not taxi company

now e-hailing driver apply driver card from SPAD, once issued means SPAD legalise u r fit to drive, to revoke also under SPAD power. can grab/uber simply ban driver based on AR company self rule or others?
