new parliament bill new rules + constant changing company rules would do some drivers away

maybe even recruiter mechanism would be abolished as SPAD wanted stringent screening = means want company itself to appoint, interview and train, not by means of appointing outsider third party to recruit for you and no need go to office instead (this is one big loophole i guess of getting problematic driver into the pool, these 2 companies must look into it otherwise sure coming other incident on hot news.)

just very coincidentally a series of tragedy happens to uber + grab recently just before July parliament going to pass the bill, maybe got bill amendment again or by-law.

company (uber/grab) - new company favor rules, new cars wanted, low payment, suka suka ban
SPAD - profile submission, want issue license with fees?
JPJ - want puspakom inspection?
LHDN - report incomes for past years? (up to 7 years)
SOCSO - come buy compulsory PA insurance with us RM1xx only per year
Insurance company Malaysia - grab/uber car must start buy commercial car insurance scheme...

conventional taxi industry laugh again - we will survive! we will survive!

Last - operators will be required to own an intermediation business licence issued by a regulatory body.

The intermediation business licences are renewable, but operators will not be allowed to transfer or reassign them.

later zepp on or that teksi association self make app also require them to apply license first

so cannot play play create an app juz for that, must set up company then apply license

these parts still unclear -

~ psv license or juz simple driver card
~ full commercial insurance or just add protection for rider in existing insurance scheme
~ puspakom checking tinted film all has to be tear off to pass the VLT 70% test (by puspakom testing equipment, not tinting shop equipment)
~ car status convert into commercial car in geran, loosing out 2nd hand value ~ most honda, toyota driver would quit bcoz of this, left with proton perodua driver

things unchanged:
- grab/uber apply petrol vs NGV by taxi
- grab/uber pay toll class 1 vs class 4 taxi
- grab/uber not allow take road side rider

things changed:
- any car made can be used by taxi, not just proton. car maker + taxi association happy now.
- taxi can earn both way, no restriction. grab/uber only can get online booking.

running taxi service need taxi permit

last time used to have individual permit and company holding permit - it got one time individual permit no longer issue but all give to company (crony). taxi driver rent car from company daily rate basis. taxi driver themselve need apply taxi driving license. work like that.

uber already sign up partnership with 500 taxi driver before parliament pass this - why, ppl know uber lack of driver now. also wonder if their app no change means ppl accidentally caught up by a coming taxi instead of private car unlike grab got separate it out.

no surprise if uber quit malaysia later. if grab bcome monopoly, it would become end of the day for drivers too regardless how many driver association u have, x suka keluar je.

Also, now got a grey area which must be clear out:

WHO CAN BAN DRIVER?

for taxi, only SPAD can ban driver revoke their license, not taxi company

now e-hailing driver apply driver card from SPAD, once issued means SPAD legalise u r fit to drive, to revoke also under SPAD power. can grab/uber simply ban driver based on AR company self rule or others?
