Well, try using virtualdub and avisynth.

Try look for 717 post.

Many software do hav some limitation feature. Better learn how to use avisynth is the best solution. I can convert any video format using that. tongue.gif

recently i been trying to Rip some dvd to Avi format. i tried few software like Ahead DVD Ripper n super dvd ripper. after i install them but i wanted to run them to rip the asking me to install divx pro with Gain ... i dunno why it's need tat for ?? can anyone tell me what is the very good software for DVD rip without installing other things. or simple n fasttest ripper ? does it take 3 hours to rip one dvd into avi ?? how long usually it will take ? .help me . thanks in advance

guys, recently i use ImTOO mpeg converter to convert WMA to 3GP, although i must admit that both the video and sound quality is amazingly good, but when you playback the file, the sound and video is not syncronized! The sound is somehow play about 1second faster than the video. So the converted video become so weird.. Any help.. guys?

The amont of time you need is depends on your proc's speed, the faster the better
Try DVDx that is suggested by keyz or use Guardian Knot. Those are the simplest already smile.gif

For advanced, you need to know avisynth

i wanna ask, any real movie compressor that can "bind" the subtitle like .sub file when we compress AVI file to RMVB or RM?
another qs is: any media player can "flip" the movie when i playing it?

i have a question. i want to encode some .rmvb (TVB) files into my PPC phone but sometimes certain episode comes with dual language & i only want cantonese.

In my PC, I can select the audio on just the left side to hear cantonese but I supposed i can select either left or right in PPC phone. there is no such option.

I used SUPER Simplified (Universal Player Encoder & Renderer) to convert videos. How can i chose my preferred language before i convert my videos?

If u want rm, rmvb, mkv ( as long as it's not avi format) convert to avi
Open notepad type

Save it as .avs

Load avs file to virtualdub. And selecting compressor, config the kbitrate for your conversion.

Remember, if u are converting rmvb, the audio format is wave, so the file will be very big. Best is u put another code tag killaudio(). Have to separate convert the audio.

I think you guys better don't use. I'm using it cos' i want a better quality for my mobile phone. The above is a simple avs script i used. please go http://www.avisynth.org/ for more details. Recently i started using avisynth. Quite interesting. I got no problem converting H246/AVC codec in mkv, by using avs script then load into vdub to convert to avi. smile.gif Kinda tedious process.

If wants some easiest, go dl Super converter. It's free, but the process is quite slow smile.gif

I used this way to convert rm to avi but seems like the audio doesn't sync with the video.

or you can use changefps (23.976) it should work

Didn't sync with audio because the video is VFR

Ohh i thought rm should be constant bitrate so din enter convert fps. Thought only rmvb is variable bitrate.
Is fine now.

if its a VFR video, u need to convert it to CFR in order to get the audio and video synced and changefps/convertfps does this job for you

VFR/CFR not equals VBR/CBR

do u guys realise tat dpPowerAmp 11.5 is much slower den the previous version 10. ? it reli takes me a long time 2 convert a song.. sigh

There are some programs, known as DRM-converters, which help to remove protection from audio files and manage your music easily!!!
Among them I prefer SoundTaxi, cause it's the most quality and the fastest converter!
