Data backup, I am using WD cloud storage. Cheap and cheerful. 3TB for RM600+. Its speed upload/download depends solely on your network speed. Holliday videos I upload there. So far with Maxis LTE and Maxis home fibre, no issues with streaming. I boight a starter cloud to test and even that its works for me. Only gripe would be, very slow uploading using wireless. 4GB around 8 minutes. It gets slower with bigger files. Smaller files such as photos are much faster. So the way to go for transfering files would be hardwire to the network.

Anybody experiencing very shitty downloads with the Mac App Store? 2GB software update takes 2 days to complete wtf?
I keep getting timeouts and I left my Boot Camp Assistant to download the Windows Suport Software and it's been on for 14 hours with no progress. There's no ETA when it's started. In the Activity Monitor, Bootcamp doesn't download a single KB but the process is kept open for 14 hours.
When I launch console. It shows me "pid 388 cannot be connected dequeued before it times out"
When I track down pid 388 it shows me another Process called _softwareupdated which downloads but does nothing else

But I did recall once there was an issue, but most probably due to congestion.

Much2 easier to navigate than windows. Even their software apps, pages, numbers & keynote simpler to use imho. The system at my workplace is predominantly PC, but integration file sharing a non issue. But the best is that no more headaches due to viruses etc, just update to the latest firmware and you are good to go.

But each time they say they filing a report and it was never made 😑 Might be TM servers issue

Sometimes it is fast, sometimes it is excruciatingly slow, especially with a Unifi connection. At my office with a TIME connection, never faced this problem at all.

The Windows Support Software can download now But when it's near the end, "The software cannot be downloaded because of a network problem" this is downloaded using my own data lol I have 16GB at my disposal and it shows me Network problem. 😑

If u can hear the fan operating all the time (or feel the draft of the air at the back), then definitely will drain battery power fast. High graphics apps I know for a fact drain like no body's business.

Download free app, Macs Fan Control http://www.crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control. You can then monitor the state of your fan, on or off and at what rpm. But if reading pdfs it should only use less battery though.

QUOTE(blue16 @ Jul 25 2016, 11:39 PM) anyone willing to share their experience for using the Mac OS? i was thinking to change taste toward Mac Os from window lol. For personal use, Mac OS is very versatile and great. In an enterprise environment where Windows is the predominantly key product and enterprise apps have been built on that platform, then the Mac OS is at a severe disadvantage.

QUOTE(blue16 @ Jul 25 2016, 11:39 PM) anyone willing to share their experience for using the Mac OS? i was thinking to change taste toward Mac Os from window lol. Personally after I started using Mac OS, I dont really want to go back to window haha. I alway curse when I'm using company laptop(it's a brand new HP laptop but totally feel like rubbish compare to my macbook air/mini) however there're something I like about window too. eg: when using google chrome in window, i can enlarge the page permanently by pressing ctrl + scroll(mouse), however in mac(no matter safari or chrome), I can't enlarge it permanently. i can enlarge it but after refresh or start a new search etc, it will turn back to original scale. I'm quite frustrating with this. any solution ?
