QUOTE(gsdev @ Sep 8 2007, 09:41 PM) Any info on the new 100hz LCD TV from Sharp. Thinking of getting a 37inch soon as my projection TV of 3+ years just broke down again. I think the nw line is called Sharp AQUOS A53 WXGA Series if i am not mistaken. What is the difference between a 100hz LCD and a normal one?

But it's better you counter check with logitech website just to make sure. Also don't forget to adjust the settings of the HDMI player to output DD and DTS through the Optical/Coaxial connection as opposed to PCM audio which is stereo. Some players require that. ------------------------------- Update I read from another thread the Philips 5986 does not have Optical output. Guess you can only use the Coaxial for DD5.1/DTS sound. Maybe HDMI players nowadays have done away with Optical output to cut costs. This post has been edited by Ngto: Sep 11 2007, 08:55 AM

QUOTE(sunauto @ Sep 5 2007, 10:41 PM) I guess you guys should get the new Sony Bravia D series, with 3 HDMIs, 10-bit panel for all models including the 32' one and support for 1080p 24fps. The specs sound good to me, not sure about the pricing, should be in the range of RM4.5K to RM5K for the 32' model as in Singapore, they're selling at $2.1K. I saw a few units here on display in Penang but not connected to any dvd player or Astro decoder, probably just arrived. The official Sony Malaysia website has no updates yet but you can refer to the Sony Singapore's website, it's the same model anyway. Today you can try to go to Sony Malaysia website, they already included the Bravia D Series. But the info and spec so simple 32D300A is cost RM4499.. just get ready your money to burn. The added features are:- 1. 3 HDMI 2. 100Hz Motion Flow 3. 10 bits panel 4. 24P Cinema This post has been edited by geniuz: Sep 10 2007, 02:33 PM

QUOTE(sonicwall @ Sep 7 2007, 03:05 PM) I called Legend just now, they offered me Sony 76h - RM560 (cash), RM571 (CreditCard) Philip 5986 - RM 450 (cash) I think both are good deal. But i am torn between Sony 76H and Philip 5986 because it seems that Sony 76H is everyone favorite here but Philips 5986 as it comes with 1080p and USB with such a price. Which one should I get? Anyone can give me recommendation? do i go for expensive Sony 76H or Philip 5986 which is less expensive. I need to make a decision soon

The Philips model upscale to 1080P (quality wise - ??? ) But of course they both can't play HD-DVD. If You want a player which can play HD-DVD be prepared to pay much, much more.
