QUOTE(giggsyy @ Oct 4 2016, 11:55 PM) I'll be flying from kl to frankfurt then to Istanbul then back to KL. You would recommend to use Krisflyer card for all 3 flights (if that is possible)? Or Krisflyer for KL to frankfurt then to Istanbul and then enrich for Istanbul to KL? Thank you limeuu! Are you flying straight to fra with another airline, or tk with transit at ist? What's the flight code for ist-kul? If tk, use krisflyer....

All is by tk, from KL to Frank then Frank to Ist, then Ist to KL. So krisflyer the best compared to enrich/asiamiles? Also, if i book directly at turkish airlines, I can still show my krisflyer membership and get krisflyer miles? How do I check how much miles I will be getting from this trip? Whats flight code? Sorry im a newbie

Sorry im a newbie TK is a star alliance airline. You can credit your flights to any other star alliance airline, in your case only SQ since CX/MH are not star alliance. Use gcmap to find the miles you'll be flying, however to find out how much will be credited you'll have to find your booking class, and read up the rules in SQ Krisflyer website. Typically the more you pay for your ticket, the more miles you get. Full fare economy or business class will get 100-125% as an example. Cheap tickets might not get any miles.

Sorry im a newbie Tk does not fly direct KUL FRA....so if it is operated by tk, there must be a transfer at ist... If you book yourself, they will always ask you to enter the ff no you want to claim from...otherwise just show the card at check in... No of miles depends on class of booking and actually miles traveled.... Since it is tk ticketed, you cannot claim enrich....

Then fra to ist, then ist to kl Will get krisflyer then... Thank you limeuu and tishaban...gcmap looks complicated to calculate the distance..

Quite simple to use actually: "kul-ist-fra" 2 segment path: KUL IST 312° (NW) 312° (NW) 5,206 mi IST FRA 309° (NW) 304° (NW) 1,159 mi 6,365 m

In the end travelling with Etihad instead..for all the routes.. can get Krisflyer or enrich miles yeah? Online during booking can only see krisflyer option to input but in their website, partner airline is Malaysia airlines and no SIA? Weird...also, is it a wise choice to get etihad membership points instead for miles collection? I don't really use their airline just maybe this round only..

Not a big surprise that only one airline is there not both. If you don't fly often, why do you want to park your miles with Etihad and not MH? Miles are only useful if you can get 10-20k miles per year (so you can redeem at least one 1-way trip in 3 years), anything less than that you might as well not sign up.

Anyone see this promo from HSBC? Found it on my facebook feed. 25k Air Asia Big points if you apply online, after RM1,500 spend in 45 days. https://sp.hsbc.com.my/aab25k?utm_source=fa...&utm_medium=cpcApparently this isn't the first time they're doing this. I'm going to give it a go but since I'm in o&g and banks don't like folks like me I might not be approved This post has been edited by tishaban: Oct 8 2016, 04:28 PM

I have American Airlines Executive Platinum Status / OW Emerald status but noone to travel with me to the USA. I'm thinking of going sometime Oct 25 - Nov 2 in case anyone wants to ride with me for the elite benefits. I believe I can guest 1 into the CX HKG First Class Lounge and SFO BA F lounge. I think the other person also gets free Main Cabin Extra seating too..? Anyone know where to find people to share benefits with? Looking at KUL - HKG for around RM 800 / HKG -SFO for around RM 2200
