which enrich miles credit card are you referring to?

If it's like HLB Mach Signature, no need to register, all transaction automatically converted to Enrich.

Krisflyer now does not have surcharge for redemption. however, do check availability.

asiamiles DO start to charge fuel surcharge for some redemptions AFAIK. I do know that UK airport is crazy expensive to fly out from, hence the high surcharge you see on return flights.

what you can do is, do a dummy search on this two award site (register a member) and compare both points and fees before doing the points transfer.

Depends on what u like. CX is good for doing a stopover in hong kong, spend a few days there shopping and eating. Same can be done with SQ.

If this is your first J class redemption, i highly recommend CX so that can enjoy a few days in hong kong, and try out the Pier in hkg airport.

Cool! Thanks

Ok, I have tried to set up dummy flights on Asia Miles. An interesting point to note is that the redemption points on J class to both LHR and YVR are exactly the same despite the rather large difference in distance. Also, the surchages for YVR are way cheaper than LHR.

If that is the case, I might as well use my points for my YVR trip and just pay for my LHR trip right?

Hi, I would like to ask about Enrich Miles credit card, for those TNB bill, MBPJ,DBKL,MPSJ fees consider as retail transaction? And do I need to register anything first before i get the airmiles ?
*
Take note that for HLVI / Mach Signature, all government payments like MBPJ,DBKL,MPSJ are not eligible, so is JOMPAY. TNB is eligible for miles if u pay directly to TNB not via jompay. I wasted a few months payment using jompay without getting miles...

For Mach VI, Signature, u need to provide to them your enrich account number when applying the card so that they can credit the points to you automatically. if not, you'll burn your points.

also there are limitation on points earning as per Kit615 said. Need to take note on the minor t&c.

Jtl, the surcharge for LHR is expensive due to the Passenger Departure Charge imposed by Heathrow for pax flying out of London. Alternatively, you can do a trip to Paris and fly out from CDG. much cheaper.

Asiamiles use a distance chart to calculate amount of points required. Use http://www.webflyer.com/travel/mileage_calculator/ to calculate the actual distance travelled by keying in all the transit point to get the exact range.

Try Krisflyer as i'm seeing cheaper redemption rates & lower fees as compared to Asiamiles CX. you can use other star alliance carriers too if SQ schedule is not available. EVA or Lufthansa are two other alternatives. Problem is u need to search the availability yourself and call in to krisflyer for redemption.

They did not request enrich account number from me when I apply for the card, so is it too late to give them the account number? and how to give them?

If principle card holder can use the air miles to purchase flight ticket for others? or only the card holder?

If I am not mistaken if u did not supply your enrich number, they will open a new enrich account for you and deposit your miles there. There is no "transfer" or whatsoever required as every RM2.8 you use become 1 enrich mile automatically.

Meaning that I can't buy ticket for my family by using the airmiles? Only for myself?

Credit the airmiles to you (or the name of the credit card holder) then redeem tickets for anyone you like including your friends or colleagues.

chk with HLB cos they may have created an enrich account for you. It's a requirement to have an enrich account number linked when the card is approved. Most likely they've created one new acc for you.

Correct. Krisflyer is stingy with releasing awards, hence other *A carrier reciprocate. However, u can use the flight number, date and time to feed to SQ customer service so that they can check easier. By doing abit of homework, you increase the chance of getting the seats.

The enrich account holder can redeem flight for anyone. It has nothing to do anymore with the HLB as the points are transferred automatically every month. If cards like MBB 2CP, only principle card holder can request transfer of miles to his/her FFP account (they now check names to make sure it's the same as principle card holder).

i was just thinking of it, for us based overseas, seems better to get a Msian credit card for un-bonus spend, ie. stuff that just gets 1 point per $.

For example, get the Ambank card, overseas spend is 5x, so essentially becomes RM1=1 SQ or RM1=0.83. So spending $1 gets me 4 SQ miles.....
