need a reset.

just reset at settings or off/on power.

Is pressing the power off and cutting the power considered a reset? Once boot up u will see the sharp logo then is considered reset right? Actually the TV has been unable to connect to the wifi for 3days ( i turn it off everyday )

using remote on/off = standby, not power off.

unplug power = power off.

u can reset under settings, explore the options, impt.

if u still can't get it, then something may have messed up the wifi connection, need to redo at settings -dynamic/static ip, password, dns, etc.

I mean the wifi settings on the tv messed up.

If u are using unique dns, possible it is dead, need change.

Also, i think it is better to leave tv on standby when unused.

This mode allows it to detect, prepare for system updates when available.

Yes, this is true.

Need to reset sometimes for googlecast.

Not a big issue for me since i do very little casting.

yeah i seldom do google cast too but the more annoying part is the android remote control.. not responsive sometimes and it drains battery fast

Kodi installed in the system is very smooth as well and the TV handled upscaling very well ( 720p 5gb files look good, unexpected as this is a 4k TV ). Btw, anyone using soundbar with this TV? Any recommended soundbar around RM2500

don't understand yr question...

avr is for audio.

component (3 x rca) is for video.

why used component when u can use hdmi? very old dvd player?

if u use old equipment, video or audio, u cannot get the tv to produce the best, a waste.

only use of hdmi can do that.

I can connect to my old dvd player fine.

I am trying to connect my yamaha avr HTR5730 which do not have HDMI to the tv.

Maybe need to get RCA cables into the audio output jack at the side?

I received my 50UE630X today and I was wondering what will be the startup pack of APPS to be installed.
I know Kodi tops my list, but any other MUST-HAVE app?

Also looking to immediately be able to stream CNN, BBC and Football channels (I'm aware connection via streams is unreliable, but I want to try them out first before signing up for an "illegal" IPTV subscription.

Thanks for input guys

p/s: just to share, ESH promotion now is RM3k (including 5 years from Sharp) 50UE630X

apps... thousands of them, depends on what u like.

i only have a few apps on it, good enough... kodi, iflix, mobdro, a couple of china apps... add netflix if u wish.

note u will need es file explorer too, a utility app.

if u build kodi nicely and have good speed, news, sports, movies, tv shows channels are available, in hd.

as for illegit iptv, i never used them. possible the security feature of the tv may not allow it to be installed, so, check this carefully before paying.

I doubt u can do that wireless direct to tv.

I dont think the tv hardware is good enough.

I have tried streaming with basic samba via kodi, works ok for small files.

Cant do large files, bmdv or 4k.

Well, bdmv and 4k was also hard using an androidbox.

So, the bottleneck may be the tv, the box, the router or distance too far... i cant be sure.

Wont know unless i spend more money on new equioment to experiment.

But not worth it now since 4k material is still very rare.

Mind sharing which model you're planning to get? I'm looking for a soundbar for this tv as well.
