when u try update, the message should be "it is the latest software" if u r up to date.

netflix works fine with it, expect no more updates.

before u try updating again, do this - unplug the power for 1 min, then power it up.

this model ue630x is coming up 4 yrs old.

i bought it with 2+3 extended warranty, covered for another year plus.

but it's still v good, no problems, keep using...

in fact, for 1080p, i find the PQ better than newer ua6800x!

I am a new guy in this forums and very happy for finding a place where seems can give me advice for my Sharp 50UE630X. I got a problem about ATV+DTV tuning: the UE630X can identify 75 channels (55 ATV and 20 DTV) only while the others (SA5500X for example) can identify 64 DTV channels (both use the same cab service supplier). I don’t care about ATV channels because the PQ is not good, but only 20 DTV channels which missing many important ones (HBO, Cinemax, Foxmovies ...) is big problem. I’v checked the TV’s specs of the UE630X and the new one UA6800, they are the same. I appreciate if someone can consult me for this situation! Thanks

i suppose u mean:

ATV = analogue tv; DTV = digital tv.

local DTV offers HBO, Cinemax, Foxmovies?

Yes, ATV means Analogue TV and DTV means Digital TV and local DTV does offer HBO, Cinemax and Foxmovies, I can watch these on the SA5500 but can’t find them on the UE630X.

who is the provider of HBO, cinemax, foxmovies on DTV? prices?
can u provide links for the subscriptions, like to know more.

where are u from, indonesia (nexmedia)? in malaysia we only have those channel via paid satelite subscribtion.

I am from Vietnam (Hanoi) and Hanoicab is the supplier (price is about $5.00/month for a pack of channels where HBO, CINEMAX and FOXMOVIES are among these).

malaysia no such paid entertainment dtv service, only satellite n iptv.

are there any chance sharp stopped supporting this model?

i have android 6.0.1, last update security patch dated 1 Jan 2018.

no more updates after that, i believe.

netflix, youtube are working OK, fine.

everything else ok... sideloading apps, kodi, chromecast, wifi, ethernet... i see no change, working fine as usual.

Hi all, for ue630, did anyone try to install unifi tv app from playstore? Mine refused to run, immediately crashed?

Anyone with similar experience?

Did anyone face this issue with your UE630X TV? My Youtube app is not working properly, when it plays the video, it display horizontal lines and unable to view the video. You can hear the audio but image is horizontal line. When you stop the video, Youtube app exited and says got problem. This started about 2 weeks ago.

Hi, I'm facing the same issue on YouTube like you. Tried uninstall but the only option I have is downgrade. Trying that also no difference.

i just checked... yes, youtube on ue630x has bad video, lines...

i tried a couple of things, sideloaded other versions - no success.

i think this 5 yr old tv android 6 support for youtube is over.

netflix still ok.

unifitv ok but audio remains after exit.


my other sharp ua6800x, 2 yrs old, all ok, no such issues.

Those with Youtube issue, try to sideload this apk.

This app is for YouTube replacement with forced VP9 codec,
as no Sharp TV are able to do HDR in normal YouTube.....

You can actually choose the available resolution and codec during playback.
