If you're looking for part time flexible MBA programme for working adults in Penang, then I suggest Wawasan Open Uni or Open University Malaysia.OTOH, USM also offers MBA on part time basis. |

Does anyone have local stats that talk about the benefit of having an MBA in Malaysia to salary/career progressions? Would be interesting to see.

QUOTE(sabrina222 @ Dec 28 2017, 05:52 PM) It's relative. Of course you have less relevant experience in relating to your course, but it doesn't stop anyone from learning. Subjects in MBA is actually like introductory courses to all business school related subjects. |

For full time option, suggest to go for Asia School of Business / MIT.
For part time option, suggest to go for either Strathclyde or Lancaster-Sunway. Go for their MBA preview sessions and decide for yourself which one suits you more. You can even ask to sit in their actual classes! Ask them about things like: 1. modules & electives (if any) - do they interest u? 2. how are u graded - assignment, exam, class partication, group project? (this is to suit your learning style. E.g. If you don't like to write reports, assignment are gonna be a real torture. In my opinion, MBA is about interaction and working with your peers so it should not be purely academic - you are training to be more of a better business practioner rather than a researcher, although you will definitely learn Masters level research skills.) 3. how is the alumni network - what are the events that u can attend and connections that you can make 4. Support & facilities available for students. You will definitely need good library resources to borrow books from. Online resources and portals? 5. Strathclyde/Lancaster/MIT - can you spend a semester or do some modules in the partner University. Can you choose to attend the graduation seminar there if you want to? MBA is a HUGE investment of money, time and effort. I would encourage you to make an informed decision as much as possible. Worst thing you can do is to get into a program and then regret it afterwards. All the best! This post has been edited by aaronau522: Jan 3 2018, 08:14 PM |

QUOTE(soules83 @ Jan 3 2018, 04:45 PM) engineering role = technical role, managerial role = people management role Bro, that's not an explanation. That's just a different word for the same thing. Im asking what were you actually doing as part of your Engineering role vs your current Managerial role. |
