part 1 is juz worming up..i know..but my fren said the 3th paper have to memorise so many things..ands the 1st ppr and 2nd ppr is ok...is it like that??

welcome... tongue.gif
paper 1.3 is all theory..there fore u have to memorise the model and some content of the models and try to apply to the questions..therefore this paper need some memorisation...but i don't think u have to memorise many things..

jus be flexible, read more,do more questions and u will be fine...
same technique apply yo paper 1.1 and 1.2...

all the best... nod.gif

I got one friend always got 70+ marks even in part 3 papers.

She won the first prize(Malaysia) for paper 3.4, & she cry because she felt sad by getting 68 "low" marks in paper 3.2 blink.gif

She pass her core papers in one attempt, she told me that her result very bad (don't wan to mention her exact marks).... but I heard her best friend said she got two papers 60+, one paper exactly 70 marks.

I told my mother about her story, my mother said :" see la, people get at least 60+, u go to fail... ur result is getting worse, from top to bottom cry.gif

When is the exam result release date?? I lose my ACCA card, how to apply back? The charge?

Got a conditional offer to study Accounting & Finance at Lancaster University Management School. (LUMS)

Don't know about the university, I just hope that it is recognised by Malaysia.

Should I go for it or ACCA?

LUMS? Check the FT ranking for business school. I think they are number 30 or something, not sure.

The university is part of Lancaster U. It is in Lancaster, of course.

I want to work in the UK though, will a UK degree helps me more than just ACCA?

Never heard the school b4, but that oppotunity is once in a lifetime right? U must remember, ACCA dont have such "conditional offer". So anytime u can step in to take ACCA. Also, IMO, u can get certain exemptions from going LUMS.....It is also a good chance to polish ur skills..... laugh.gif

BTW, anyone attend Mr Navzar class? Pls gimme some feedback...thx

for degree course in the UK u must have A level, unless u have direct access because of any cert that u hold.

i would go for ACCA. but i do agree with niu niu in certain points about the 'chance'.

if i can turn my clock back, i certainly wanna go for ACCA. save my time of studies. if you take ACCA in Malaysia, u still can work in the UK, but if english language skills that u are after, then choose the environment that expose u to the skills.

i got friends who hold MICPA malaysia, MIA malaysia membership, ACCA malaysia, ACCA from Ireland, they are all now working in the UK, i think because they all got working experiences in malaysia and speak good english. They work with the Big 4 in the UK. i`d say any professional exam is an advantage.

good luck.

hello...ya...it means exemption as i stated above...

basically in simple,it means this...u have to complete all together 14 papers to get ur acca qualification in total...

so acca does recognised certain qualification such as CIMA and other degree to get exemption which in the case u stated exempted 9 papers,so u do not need to sit for the actual acca exam and u jus need to sit for the 5 remained...

by the way, even though u don need to pay the exam fees for the 9 papers,u still need to pay the exemptions fees for the 9 papers u exempted which is equivalent to the amount that we paid for the exam fees for that 9 papers...

u get wat u mean? nod.gif nod.gif
