i hope all of you will pass with flying colours.

by the way, are u all studying and working at the same time? how do u all cope?

have u all started studying already for June 07? how many hours do u all sleep?

niu,

Sunway has a Self-Study Programme itself. But there is no MYS 2.3 taxation, only UK 2.3.

p/s: it is good to be thinking to have new friends like all of u that helping each other.thanks.

Hi there. Sorry to disturb but i have some question here. Which route u guys think is easier?

1) Take up degree, work at a firm 3 years then take ACCA test.
2) Take up degree and then study for ACCA.

which is the best actually? Mind to explain the pro and con to me?

agree. if your final target is ACCA, why don't go straight for ACCA? moreover, degree will be given less exemption under new syllabus than current syllabus. correct me if i'm wrong. smile.gif

eeh how come ms rozi teaching tax paper geh i remember suppose to be mr simon kok one hmm.gif

all i know abt miss rozi is she is a prizewinner student in paper 2.5 and she aso formally from sunway college. before she enrol in ACCA she is a finance director in don't know what company (all i heard so far)

after she graduated she was approached by our principal to be the CAT level lecturer specialised in accounting. so from her excellent ACCA background i think she will be fine as a business tax lec just that you need to ask more question and get active a bit rclxm9.gif she can be quite soft sometime until you don't feel the energy.

currently taking CAT semester 2.....
ms rozi is my taxation lecturer....

thanks utopian86, but i need to take in march for june 07 exam if possible, whoever know please let me know, as i planning to go home.

michi, depend on where u wanna work after graduated. as 2.3 taxation completely depend on which country you live. if u choose aussie u gonna have to sit for aus ` tax. this is what i am having problem with, as i am now in the uk and i dont want to live forever in this country. say if you go to new zleand, again ur tution provider there would give u only and the only option u have is new zealand`s tax.

the mag also different, i get to have UK acca` mag, the name is also different from what u get in malaysia. it is up to u whether it is wise or not as the future is in your hand, where u want to work later on. same goes to this, it is not wise to choose to learn other countries`s law if you wanna become a lawyer in malaysia.

only my two pence.

dependz on each individual.. for the two options, 2nd one ll be better.. almost all of the acca papers require no working experience, just academic study.. so, better to pass acca then go work rather than go work then only take acca..

all the coll in kl accept students register in march (after result) for Jun07 exam.. Some (like mcO n FTMS) even provide catch up classes to revise the earlier syllabus then u will join with the jan intake students..

basically, working experience does not amount to any exemption for acca papers.. acca believes practical n academic ll never be same, thats y students much learn both..

exemption on acca paper only available to ur degree/master if its relates to acc/biz etc.. then only u take less than 14papers..

sure.. i think u might haven knoe that the "core paper rule" has abolished in new syllabus, which means u need not to take all the 3core in one sitting.. so long u dun exceed 4papers per sitting, itz okie.. nod.gif

welcome.. anything i can help you..?? btw, y u dun wanna continue study in uk..?? it would be much better to do acca in uk..

All the colleges' websites are provided in the first post, so y are you having any difficulty in contacting the coll..?? so u ll be taking only 2.3MLS for J07..?? In this case, if u have some tax knowledge, itz not hard to pass ur 2.3.. itz difficult to self study taxation where calculation needed, better attend class..
