because, the cost of livings here have increased, because chairs in the exam hall was so plastic!! aching my back. because it is time for me to settle down, because the tuition fees also have increased, paying 735 pound per paper only for 5 times attending classess(not enough 4 me), i dont think it`s value for money, because i`ve been away from malaysia for so long now, nearly 5 years no return. and before that also..so the total now i`ve been outside, nearly 10 years. so..i need to know about my own country..malaysia.

i used to work with chartered firm, all about this coutnry VAT, so bored, why do i need to know about this country while i`ve got my own.

i could not find any tuition provider here in the UK running malaysian taxation variant, let alone books. sad.gif

now i wonder where i can buy study texts and revision online?(2.3 Mys)

i intend to sit my 2.3 paper in Malaysia since my visa is going to finish in April. i wonder whether there are facilities for me to sit 2.3 UK variant in malaysia?

Colleges in Malaysia, how many classes do u all have to attend? i heard Sunway have class everyday. How about other college?
*
Yes.. You can take UK tax variant in any of the Malaysian exam centres. Just be sure to mark UK variant when you register for the paper.. smile.gif

And it solely dependso n u if u plan to work in the UK or Malaysia. If you plan to work in Malaysia, then Malaysian tax variant is more variant.. And vice-versa..

Just a question. Does anyone know the number of ACCA graduates in Malaysia for one year? People who finish ACCA I mean. Can't find that

The magazine says each graduation around 400 for each graduation. so that works out to about 800 each year. But I heard the real figure is somewhere around 2000..

yeah,i heard from my lecturer..he said paper 3.7 topics will be in 2.4(F9)..and guess what,he hope student will pass tis last round june07 2.4 because F9 will be quite difficult, actually all new papers will be tough, including audit formerly 2.6 will become audit&assurance which is formerly 3.1..so,there will be a combination of assurance+internal control review will be covered.cuz 2.6 currently is audit and INTERNAL REVIEW,so new syllabus there's no internal review but assurance.but in order to establish a proper assurance control, there must be a proper internal/external control+to understand the duty of int.auditor..and the optional paper all have the word "advanced"so assuming that it is tough(lot to learn) compare to the current syllabus..current issues is getting bigger, the scope is wide and more people are creating fraud, things are getting advanced, thats why ACCA is revising its syllabus to combat against this factor..but i do think that ACCA+ICAEW are the leading prof.body which is very demanding today..so,dont give up,we're the BEST..-exam result are coming soon-

or should i just forget about ACCA and just focusing on finding a job??? because i know it is hard working and studying at the same time.

Actually u can refer to FTMS for their premier express class that will start one week after the results are released....it's not a 2nd intake but a crash class/catch-up class. So, it's like attending new class. IMO, age is not a barrier to gain more knowledge. Yes, of course it will be a gargantuan task for someone like u who is working n studying part time. icon_idea.gif

I am currently doing my OBU on Topic 8 Financial Analysis but then i am having difficulty on the format and where to start. I have a mentor who is my cousin brother FCCA but then he couldnt help me much because in his days, there is no such thing as a OBU thesis.

Could anybody pm me on the format and preferrably a sample of a Topic 8 thesis. I respect "NO PLAGIARISM" and what i need is just a simple format and the things that i should include and not-to include.
