Yea... The timing is actually closely mirror to that of Air Asia X.

But at below RM1K two way, it's actually good choice to many. Ok no more of price related.

What's the best area in Japan for autumn colours?
Kyoto in October or elsewhere.
Thank you!

If October then go Hokkaido (note though that the upper reaches of the daisetsuzan mountains already snowing at this time).

Quick question. Plan to go Furano/Biei in Hokkaido. Can these 2 places visit within 1 day? Plan to visit farm tomita and blue pond.

If drive then Furano, Blue Pond, and the hills & trees around Biei are totally doable in one day. If public transport then I dunno, didn't really recall seeing many buses around the areas (lots of them are not near train stations).

Yes, it is doable. I just came back from my 7 days self drive Hokkaido trip biggrin.gif Here's my brief itinerary

26 June - Night flight
27-28 June - Sapporo (2 nights)
29 June - Noboribetsu Marine Park --> Hell valley --> Lake Toya -->Hokadate (1 night) --> Hakodateyama Yakei (night view)
30 June - Hakodate Asaichi (Morning market) -->Kanemori Akarenkasouko (shopping)--> Otaru (1 night) --> Otaru Canal
1 July - Otaru's Rokkatei, Kitakaro and Letao (eat and shopping) --> Otaru Orgel House (Music box) --> Furano (1 night) --> Lavender/Flower/Melon farm
2 July - Unkai Terrace --> Blue pond -->Lake Kamui (1 night)
3 July - Back home

Note: i'm not recommend anyone to follow this super rush trip of mine, it is just too tiring especially you are the only one who is driving. sweat.gif

You can ask me anything about self driving in Hokkaido while my memory still fresh smile.gif

Japan don't have Black Friday. Only America have.
But most American company in Japan such as Amazon will do the ''Black Friday'' sales. Discount up to 50%

By and by, rather than the usual Tokyo banana and Tokyo milk cheese factory, is there any other sweets or confectionery that you guys can recommend in Tokyo? Budget wise similar with the items I mentioned above.

any public bus companies which is recommended for traveling from

Kyoto -> Takayama -> Shirakawago -> Osaka ?

current plan is to depart from Kyoto in the morning, take a bus to Takayama, stay overnight in Takayama, then on second day morning, will depart for Shirakawago for a day trip, then when about evening time, take the bus to Osaka, so 2 day 1 night is it enough for Takayama and Shirakawago?

this is Willer schedule from Kyoto to Takayama

I think this is the bus from Takayama to Shirakawa

https://japanbusonline.com/Detail/119000400...032/4162019001/

can we buy the tickets on the spot? or need pre-booking?

Nagoya and Kanazawa not part of the itinerary, afraid not enough time to stop by, as its only 24 hour to spend in both Takayama and Shirakawago

For willer you should buy online it's cheaper. They have an online discount.

I would personally skip Shirakawago many people will say it's a must visit. It's the only place I been where suddenly it's full of mainland Chinese and furthermore u are not staying there so may not been worthwhile. It's just to see kampung house which takayama has a few but u have to put up with the mad hassle which takes away from the village feel .

Gokayama is so much better. Kanazawa is so much better or spend more time in taka yama. However takayama has many temple on the hillside like Kyoto may feel the same to some if done on the same trip.
