QUOTE(azamunekurone @ Mar 17 2016, 07:21 PM) 3 fingers braking are good bro. No la bro, not going high speed..just that the price seems very reasonable, and i dont like the stock dahon lever...cant fathom why dahon fit the bike with cheapo resin bracket levers..which feels flimsy...i had experience with full alu body brakes and they look and feel much sturdier.i used on 2 vbrake, and 2 caliper brake (1 on hybrid 700c+caliper, 1 on my speed p8+vbrake, 1 on verge+caliper and lastly with my fnhon 16"+vbrake). tested already before with normal disc brake on my previous mongoose. so far i love the feel from avid liver. i had used stock steel liver originally from speed p8, tektro liver and shimano tiagra liver but nothing beyond compare to my avid liver.that is my sekupang opinion lah how fast u will go and need such a good braking?is it 100kmj? i had acheived 58kmj downhill from pos slim to simpang pulai (ipoh cameron road), downhill from ringlet to tapah and downhill from fraser to kuala kubu bahru, still those avid liver done the job very well! a littlr bit poison, not that much lor The thing i dislike most on the stock brake lever...its the protuding screw on the bracket...just looks so darn cheapo. |

Sifus, i had second puncture on my foldie. After changing to schwalbe big apple..i thought my bike will be more tire puncture resistant.
However, upon checking, found that the puncture is on the side where the tube faces the rim body...not from outer penetration. Could it be a pinch flat..or my rim is not well taped.? Btw, i aam using a cheap tube called rockstone from china. Its a butyl tube. Even the packaging doesnt look premium. How do i diagnose that my inner rim tape is not sufficient, or badly in stall.? Another question...my stock tire size is 20 x 1.75 rotolo, and the ori tube is kenda 1.5/1.75. Can i re use the stock kenda tube, on my bigger big apple 20 x 2.0? |

It is near the edge of the rim, it is more likely pinch flat. Do you inflate the tube a little when putting into the tyre? However, upon checking, found that the puncture is on the side where the tube faces the rim body...not from outer penetration. Buy the wider tube if you can but if you can probably use the existing narrower tube, but may be less durable esp if the quality is questionable. |

It was punctured in the centre..more on the spokes position...on a questionable butyl tube rated for 1.75 to 2.0 size.Buy the wider tube if you can but if you can probably use the existing narrower tube, but may be less durable esp if the quality is questionable. A talk with a LBS told me to just wrap with those thick tape that we can get from stationary shop...as rim wrap. Im not sure whats its called dy...but the tape that we used often to wrap boxes. |

QUOTE(tcb2010 @ Mar 19 2016, 03:16 PM) Azamunekurone, no need speed dial 7. ur current vbrake are enough. last time dahon equip most every model with avid fr5 as their stock brake liver until 2013. nowdays dahon change to liver to some lousy parts..Is there much difference btw FR5 and Avid speed dial 7...is it worth to upgrade at twice the price.? |
