i am now considering ditching my tern p9 20" wheel and get instead a fnhon 16".
i want to go all way for portability instead on a good balance.
*
Fnhon 16 not really compact when folded maybe only 10 to 15% smaller .in fact if portability is your concern, tern fold and unfold mechanism miles ahead better than fnhon.

Or U may consider that brompton copy brand.

Anyway we have a growing fnhon fans in malaysia.feel free to try 1 first.hehe

if u still using 406, get the fnhon 16 349 instead. the 406 and 349 are not that much different. the 16 fold a bit small than ur 20" biggrin.gif

Because of the N fold?
I owned a tern verge, N fold, but 406 was too big for me.
Change to eezz D3, awesome folding mechanism and size, 3 speeds is good enough for commuting. Let go as my fren need that more than me.

I think a D3 might be your choice, very good mechanism, good brand, and good folding size.
Downside is the bike is almost fully customize specs, limited modification but can be a good thing.

Copy brompton, tried at shop and not really fold as good as brompton (normal la with the price gap), doesnt roll well as well when folded which i think that is the best part from brompton fold.

Used Crankset can have from 200~350. Must hunt a fair bit la. Mine is almost new non-series Shimano Hollowtech, 250 w/o BB.
Must know your BB before buying Crankset… MUST.
If wrong BB you can buy BB adaptor also, most of the time the BB adaptor cost more than the Crankset…

Yes.the N fold thing is great.the hinge is smooth yet didnt compensate on d frame rigidity.unlike my fnhon, folding the bike can be pain in d a$$ due to d tight hinges, not dare to loosen it a bit sked bad effect later.

if u buy a whole used groupset, u got complete. lets say u buy the 5700 105 10speed groupset. all u can use accept for brakes (if u cant u cbrake) and the shifter (can sell it and buy new flatbar shifter with brake lever)

Hmm, but if the brake level and shiftier can't use. Meaning need to get another shiftier too. wouldn't that be more expensive?

It becomes really easy when one knows what one want and need.
It's not my place to tell anyone what they need or want. Get a bike and find out your heart desired. It's hell lot of fun.

Put back the brifters (shifters plus brake levers) into BBS and you can still sell it for about 300 to 400 bucks if there are not scratchy. You also need a new pair of brake levers. Depending on the level of shifters you choose, it might be cheaper in fact. If you use MTB 10 speed shifters, that is. The Deore is about 150 bucks new and cheaper if you look for used one. Brake levers is about 60 to 80 for Shimano and cheaper if it is a Tektro. If you maintain using V-brakes , can sell off the C-caliper brakes as well.
