Hello everyone, I would like to ask about the tax department for Big 4 in Ipoh.

Could any of you explain about the lifestyle there? In particular I would like to know about the nature of works for associate level (I'm a soon-to-be fresh graduate) and how often you need to do OT and outstation travel.

I don't mind OT and travelling, but since I've heard that the tax department isn't as busy as audit, I would appreciate it if anyone here would clarify on it.

i'm an intern in one of the big 4 now.. i feel like they are treating me too nice it's not even funny.. got a feeling that they when i'm accepted as associate i would not be treated as nicely.. maybe im just being paranoid

If you are proactive, dont scare of OT. its okay 1.

In the current system, we need to write a reflective statement for every task, and get it signed off - how does it work in Big 4? Mind sharing your experience?

If the big 4 is platinum/gold just need HR to endorse will be suffice. HR will provide the exemption letter.

I'd like to validate if consulting division (NOT audit/tax, i know its around 2.7-3k for these roles) at Big4 pays fresh graduate roughly around RM3.4-3.5k? (that's what I gathered from Glassdoor: Business Analyst at Deloitte https://www.glassdoor.com/Salary/Deloitte-M...9,17_IN170.htm)

And if that's the case, what is the fresh graduate salary range at mid-tier consulting firm?
