QUOTE(themightywong @ May 31 2016, 02:46 PM) HEy guys, anyone got into big4 with low cgpa ? in uni my co-curiculum activities is rather impressive but the result wise is slighty affected. just wondering anyone got accepted. btw my cgpa is 2.3 i just applied pwc yesterday. not placing too much hope tho Just apply to all of the Big 4, had a couple of uni mates that failed their core accounting papers graduating with CGPA 2.x/4.0 and still managed to enter Big 4, already S3/Assistant Manager IIRC. No harm applying as Big 4 is a good start to your career. Cheers!

QUOTE(Manada @ Nov 20 2016, 10:32 AM) Any justifications? Is it because SA role in Citi good or Financial Advisory in Deloitte suck? I heard Financial Advisory in Deloitte is a very small and niche department, and they don't really take in interns, once a blue moon. Whatever jobs the big banks do not want, Big 4 gets it

QUOTE(I_Thought @ Nov 23 2016, 03:43 PM) Hmm according to my source, audit experience does count in the 4 years relevant working experience. Moreover, if lets say I pass this coming Dec exam, I will be taking Level 2 next year June and as everyone know, January to March (April if you are unlucky) is the peak period in audit. I am little bit afraid that I can't cope with working OT for 3 months and still need to study heavy loaded subject in Level 2 lol. Anyway, I have not start job hunting yet, attempt to request to transfer department within firm but seems like nothing come back lol. P.S: I read your post in another thread giving advise on CFA study, can I ask are you a CFA Charterholder? Since you already have plenty of answers for your three questions, I'll skip that part. To put your concerns to rest, only certain audit roles will be able to count as experience towards the CFA (i.e., your role assists in the investment decision etc.). Auditors tend to have a harder time studying for the CFA exams due to work commitments, this is where you will know how hungry for success you are. I'll suggest a lateral transfer to the Transaction Advisory department of your firm if you're finding a move to IB related jobs too hard. Good luck, young padawan
