Damn, i haven't been following much on AA and AAX.
*
Don't get me wrong. Airasia is one heck of a company. they survived through thick and thin against all the big airlines that are Goverment owned.

the fundamentals are there and I am holding on AAX for a long time but be advised I can see hidden hands with big pockets meddling in these two counters. not for a faint of heart.

Sifu, Actually how to use NTA in determining share price?
*
You can't. You need more value. But you can roughly estimate the risk of your investment using NTA alone. It's the net worth per share of a company. It generally mean if the company go bankrupt today, all you get per share is the NTA. Simple rules is to make sure NTA should be less than 2/3 of share price to minimize your risk.

I asked this question here before but sifus here no reply me. I found this out by researching my own and I'm not sure whether I'm correct.

You are right, I am holding it for now. nth can be seen in short term. We already know this stock can go up and down very fast. So we have to pay attention when their insider push it up in the coming months.

Dont think that it was a teaser about merging AAX and TunePro, he said that they were going to collaborate and that TuneProtect was trying to get into Fintech (or some digital stuffs) to fully maximise their potential.

Was it maybe some external guy that started the rumour ?

Meaning, you pick stocks based on NTA because you think you will get something back in case of liquidation.

But I wouldn't touch a atock with significant risk of liquidation lah...

I swapped PChem with Insas.

I placed an order for Insas this morning at RM0.960 but I then cancelled the order. Now I bought at a higher price of RM1.010. It is currently up 8.108%.

some player analyse and value company based on the company intangible assets and projected earning based on announced new project etc... too.
Given NTA vs current market share traded how much market perceived the growth earning power , intangible assets or etc.
As many guru said before, investment is like art more than science.

Just imagine you bought a piece of land 30 years ago RM10k without any revaluation, in this case NTA obviously is not a true indicator for the land right?

Imagine the you buy a,

Company A vs company B both have the exact same NTA. Company A no more generating profit while company B still making profit above FD rate lets say. Obviously company B is worth more than company A.

There are lot of books teaching teachinh these financial ratio. But if you personally involve in business, it helps you to understand better i would say. tongue.gif
