Malaysian are easier to get EP, don't worry.
i don't mind HDB as long as it's not dodgy old flat (something like pinnacle @ duxton), and i don't mind a ghost town so long as there's groceries, been living in a place full of people that i find it difficult to even move around in malls.

Agree on this. My housemate now deciding to move to a location nearer to Jurong (most probably Redhill/Queenstown), I almost thought it's Tiong Bahru. Straight give him wtf face...

QUOTE(madmoz @ May 13 2016, 09:25 AM) To me, car ownership isn't and shouldn't be an issue lah. I can afford a car in SG, a rather fancy one too if I so wish but I feel no need or inclination to. Granted, I've only been here for a little while but am much more inclined to get myself a nice bicycle instead. At any rate, taking the MRT and walking everywhere is doing wonders for my weight. I think to each his own bah. You can seek opinions but ultimately the choice is your own. bro, you belong to the top 10% income group in sinkie so diff story la...you rather spend the money to travel every weekend to all the exotic places.. young n successful It all depends on needs, most of my JB/johor friends bought car here as they need to travel back almost every weekend with whole family (spouse/kids) ...

QUOTE(jules6002 @ May 13 2016, 11:59 AM) Hi sifu sifu out there, just wanna ask something regarding employment pass. I recently got offered a job in the banking industry and they help me apply for E-Pass. I was wondering how long will it take for the #-pass to be approve since i can't work in SG without it. Just got mine approved couple weeks back, took about 9-10 business days. Here no few banking taikors.

guys i have a question here, if i'm still under probation and i've decided to resign and change company because can't really communicate with the boss but he is very unhappy about my resignation and he says that he is going to complain me at MOM, will that affect my next company's application for my EP?

justjoe yes you eventually need to change to NRIC. But I can't remember how exactly though. I vaguely recall it's not automatic and I had to re-apply for a new SingPass but I unker & got memory loss riao.

QUOTE(Blues89 @ May 11 2016, 09:35 AM) 12 instead of 21 @@" possible, but its like an outsourcing company im not too sure how it works :/ Definitely not. 20% in exchange of all benefits, leaves, medical/insurance, recognition of services and lastly most important is job security. Unless, u are earning close to SGD20k/month which equiv. to SGD4k (20%) still not a good decision. IMO, only move if u hate your job and your boss, otherwise not worth from my POV. Hello everyone! I am new here! *I mean in SG* First week passed and I am still trying my best to adapt to the new environment. Waiting for my E-pass to courier to me so I don't have to carry my passport around, and can get my bank account done and local mobile plan as well..
