QUOTE(deadravel @ Feb 22 2016, 03:00 PM) my whatsapp did not migrate to sg number yet. i asked my fren, they said did not see whatsapp notify i changed new number(SG) they still see-ing my malaysia number in whatsapp. if i use dual sim phone, can i use 2 number in 1 whatsapp? haha. how do u guys manage it since MY number have all the important groups chat. When you swap the sim card, there will be a pop-up in Whatsapp to ask you if you want to keep the existing number(MY) or change to the new number(SG). If you change to the new number, Whatsapp will auto add that number to all of the group chats. As for the single person chat, it will appear as a new chat in your friend's phone when you text them.

I have a question.
If I manage to get another job offer while still working in SG, should I tender first or wait till the EP transfer complete then only tender?

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Mar 5 2016, 10:21 AM) got such thing as 'EP transfer' ? Maybe I wrote it wrongly. Should be cancellation of current EP and apply for new one. QUOTE(knwong @ Mar 5 2016, 10:41 AM) Last time I resign and serve my 3 months notice first. New employer only need to login to EP online and process the new EP just before I join them. The transfer is immediate in EP Online system So can the new employer apply the EP first then only resign after it is approve? Or I should resign now?

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Mar 18 2016, 01:48 PM) Don't... Later they call and ask why they dig you from your current company. Better don't inform your employer of where you heading to make less trouble. QUOTE(kevin613 @ Mar 18 2016, 01:59 PM) +1, and there is no obligation for you to provide that. That's why I also feel curious when they popped that question. Maybe I should ask them send a B&W to me then I report to MOM instead.

QUOTE(malz89 @ Apr 1 2016, 02:19 PM) For OCBC if your company doesnt have an account with them, they wouldnt allow u to open up an account. Of course this is for those who are opening your first account in SG. They rejected mine, so i had to opt for other banks. Yea, the policy was implemented last year. What I did was to open a DBS account and then use the bank statement to open the OCBC account.

QUOTE(bujubomb @ Apr 5 2016, 06:53 PM) hey guys i applied DBS bank account through online but got rejected as they say my residential address was not dated and they asked for a copy of local phone bill (but i'm using prepaid)/local utility bill (but i'm staying with relative)/local bank statement (but i don't have bank)/letter of offer (but my company wrote my malaysia address )/letter of employment (the same as the letter of offer). what else can i send to them to prove that i'm staying at my current address? I applied mine (DBS) August last year using my IC only. No specific letter with address required.

QUOTE(rookie93 @ Apr 13 2016, 11:05 AM) is it to say, basically impossible for Malaysia fresh grad mechanical engineers to able to enter Singapore for work? I've applied to many companies seeking fresh grads for the past 2 months, and none have even replied yet. Not impossible but hard. I just received a call from one of the recruiters asking me whether still looking for job which I don't know when I sent that application (could be few months or 1 year back). Sometimes their preference is towards Singaporean/PR as they do not require to apply any employment pass.
