Average 1 hr time to cross 2.5 hours in total. I guess if start work at 8.30am then will be worse traffic? And have to suffer the jam with vehicles exhaust fumes compare to those crossing in cars with aircon. Tough life. T.T |

QUOTE(saddient @ Apr 17 2016, 07:26 PM) I just checked. 15% on gross income or 22% on net income. and the 22% also for those who is in the top tier. Last time resident tax rate max out 20% now 22%. QUOTE(saddient @ Apr 18 2016, 12:37 AM) If you back to MY once in a while don't really need Digi?I using umobile, just make use of the grace period (2 months). So it will be alright if I go out to M'sia like once every 3 months. If go JB then I reload RM10 then it will extend another 2 months. But within the grace period can't call/sms only can receive. No problem receiving SMS for Maybank haha This post has been edited by IwanAGP: Apr 18 2016, 12:48 AM |

Don't transfer savings... if you want, can play with some money you are prepared to lose. best to leave in fd collect interest. Then after the drop I told her... See... Luckily I never transfer. Else even the interest give 10% also not enough cover. |

QUOTE(vincentleong @ Apr 15 2016, 11:22 AM) I was wondering how long it would take to drive from JB to your workplace in SG everyday. I have been monitoring Google Maps traffic for a while now to get a feel for it and it seems the travel by car from JB town to eastern part of the island would take about 60-70 minutes one-way between 8-10am and 5-7pm almost every week day. The bridge crossing itself would take about 20 minutes. I have been doing daily commute from JB to SG every workday (via Tuas 2nd link).Working hours 9am-6pm, but I leave home at 5:30am. Most of the time I reach my office at Commonwealth around 6:30-7:00am. Tried leaving home at 6:00am (30 mins later) but end up spending more time in the jam. Going back to JB after work has always been a problem for us. Sometimes it can jam for 1-2 hours even if I go back at 8pm. |

There's certain behaviour to the route once you are familiar with the 2 checkpoints, like which lane is faster to queue, time to arrive, etc. For going back, I always take Kranji side when approaching Woodlands Checkpoint and Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim (passing by the Top Up booth) when heading towards Tuas Checkpoint. Both route are faster and easier to 'squeeze' in This post has been edited by knwong: Apr 18 2016, 09:38 AM |

Depending on working hours, I start work at 7 and end at 4, and on average I spend 30 mins in jam both way at causeway. But what time crossing we r talking about? 7am? exclude your travel time, to be on the safe side, U need to spare 1 hour 30 mins for queue. It really depends on your luck, if you manage to enter the fast lane, U will crossed within 20 mins, If you suay suay got halau to the back, 1 hour is expected. This I am talking about 6:30-7am. If you leave home at 5am, you can cross in around 30-40 mins. But don't put too high hopes also. Sometime it might take u to an hour. When going back SG to JB (causeway) Sometime I leave office at 6pm, reach causeway around 6:25 to 6:30. Always needs minimum 1 hour 30 mins to cross. It would be consider lucky if you manage to reach home before 9pm. Queue wise usually its 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours (unavoidable). Also don't bother going back late. Even you go back at 12am, there will still be a 20-30mins queue waiting for you. unless we are talking about 2:30-4am. then its smooth. |
