Hi all currently im having this problem. Using tp link wdr4300 router , on unifi adv30. When im using the 2.4ghz, basically i cant surf anything. Cant even open google. Cant run testspeed.but when using 5ghz, it working perfectly fine, getting 30mbps on testspeed etc.

Anyone know why it happen? It happen 2 days already. And because of my laptop is an ancient laptop which can only detect 2.4ghz, this is basically make my unifi useless because i cant do any of my jobs!

Edited: sheep, i just remember. There are 1 electric trip happen before this problem happen. Is it because of that it somehow damage my router?

but in read earlier in this thread.. they are many complains and wanted rebate for the new promo RM179 (exclude GST)

any one here successfully got the rebate@discount from RM199 to RM179???

Im did also email to TM but the keep on telling sorry sorry my ass.. and the new promo RM179 is only for new subscription only...

Complaint to MCMC and and request a rebate from TM. They wouldn't bother to entertain you unless you had complaint to MCMC or other government agency.

Its hard to confirm as tm got sub contractor & it own technician. If urs is over warranty period by right need rm50 charges. Sometimes sub contractors are kind enough not to charge you.

Hmm so wasted with my ruby package. Cant see the rest of the channel beside those free tv channel like ntv7 & 8tv etc. Using homeplug from 1st floor to ground floor. Its happen since last time. Suspect homeplug connection issue.

u might want to check the wifi encryption method in the router setting.
WPA/WPA2 AES vs TKIP encryption have big speed different.
try set it to AES to see if it is solving your problem.

If everything works except your laptop, your laptop wireless chipset is kaput.

are you already restarted your router? sometimes my router on 5ghz hang... so restart and again voila, good again...

Where did you registered from ? TM website ?

If registered through TM Point they don't really email you

Done it many times result still same. Maybe it time to dig back for the warranty....
