does usage of android box such as mi box and etc affects ping for gaming? or still utilize other bandwidth like hypptv?  hmm.gif

tldr: in theory yes, in reality still yes, but not really noticeable. if you want a more noticeable effect you should go for vpn and use lan cable for your computer, the former may help more, the latter not so if you can get full bar laugh.gif

it will effect the ping and speed as you are using internet bandwidth.... hypptv is using another bandwidth which is different vlan tagging...

if no traffic, 50-70ms for D2, if users using, can go up till 100-200. Bought Mikrotik and copied some Queue commands for QoS, so far ok, but not sure if i decide to plunge for the android box will the Queue still work anot. hmm.gif

Having issues loading Facebook/Instagram and Steam. Images on akamai is refusing to load and even sites like straitstimes.com are not loading. Called Unifi up and the problem's still persisting despite them resetting the port :/

Anyone else encountering the same problem?

your d2 server is at? SG? and are you on wifi?

anyway, my mistake on some part because gaming is a lot more latency sensitive

Hi Unifi mates,

1). Currently my package as below :

VIP 10 + Mega pack + free local fixed line call = RM199/month

2). Before TM introduce unifi 30 i got called from TM officer to persuade me upgrade to unifi 30 but add on another RM20 to get JUMBO pack but i still not satisfy because JUMBO pack still lesser channel if compare to my existing Mega pack, but lucky at the end i don't proceed it because i wanted to maintain the Mega pack without increase prices.

3). Now Unifi latest package just RM179 with speed 30m only, which is i feel TM really a real scam and dishonest to their existing customer very pity those existing user upgraded to unifi 30. I feel really sorry to all of you wasted all the unnecessary time and hassle to argue to TM to get back the rebate

4). So my question now is will TM net free upgrade to me unifi 30m + megapack + free fix line call at RM179? Obviously they wont and probably what will TM offer to me? or i need to call them directly to negotiating?

Please advice/share your thought or guide me how to get the best package from TM. Thanks in advanced.

Since you are upgrading from Asus RT-N12C1, you are better off getting a 802.11ac router no point buying 802.11n.

thank you for sharing.
I just got my Asus RT-AC1200HP router 2 weeks back. Not good enough to penetrate wifi from living to my room.
Good time to get another one with AC1900

Does the dual band makes whole lot of difference in term of signal penetration to upstairs?

Nope. The signal penetration of 5Ghz is much weaker. smile.gif

In terms of speed stability, yes. Penetration power, no.
