Looking at the DFI Dark thread, this DFI board is indeed a lil bit picky on PSU.Some had said that certain PSU are unable to boot the mobo up.. |

QUOTE(remysix @ Jun 13 2007, 09:37 AM) u r using Commando, rite... could prolly switch a different mobo imho, if such mobo is giving so much problems and compatibility issue. even if it can oc or w/e superbly, i dont think its worth the hassle.for all this years, i also never heard incompatibility between psu and mobo except if the mobo or psu does not follow the same standard specification or required by the mobo in terms of the voltage and amperage... but this DFI P965-S Dark...it's very picky on psu and ram chip...i've read a few forum reporting on the same issue...and i've also asked those guys who used the same mobo in DFI P965-S Dark thread in our forum...most of them said, it's the psu or the ram but mostly straight away said the psu...already tested with diff ram, same thing...power up, and the power recycling keeps on going...and i've just installed the board...so no oc is done yet...actually nothing is done yet...so, the only thing i can be certained is that the mobo doesnt like the TT, well at least MY TT... =edit= and yes im using the Asus commando, very damn convenient for oc noobs like me This post has been edited by Quazacolt: Jun 13 2007, 10:57 AM |

Is Enermax FMAII 460W is ok for my system? Planning to achieve 3.0GHz with Brisbane, but ayam brand PSU blocking the way. Or maybe I should just get Silverstone ST56F?

What if I decide to get a gc in the future, maybe 8800GTS 320, is it ok? Or I need 500W and above?

Guys, have a problem here with my ST56F. When i turned on my PC yesterday, i can feel running electricity at my casing and the back IO Panel. After that, i decided to dissamble everything and check what might be the cause of the problem..
Cant found anything specific but when i turn off the PC after assembling it (Casing power button turned off, PSU switch still on, main switch still on), i can hear some hissing sound at the back of the PSU. Even when i turn off the PSU switch, there is still some slight hissing sound. May i know is this the problem with the PSU? If i would like to take it for RMA, do i need to go back to the same shop where i bought it?can i send it back to the distributor (how do i know who is the distributor?) and will they help me fix it?Thanks.. |

Anyone have their contact number?as to your problem, could be PSU issue. in my case, i also kena electrocuted Anyway, i might send it back to MyPC during the weekends but the trouble of going there might be difficult for me.Not sure what happened to the PSU as well... One more thing, i have an LCD that is going to standby mode after a while (around 30min - 1hour) and would not wake up unless i force restart the whole PC. In this case, by anyway it could be related to my current PSU problem as well? |
