QUOTE(mitodna @ Aug 8 2011, 09:36 AM) need recommendation, looking to power PSU: G620 H67 6x SATA GPU maybe 6770 range, (optional) which PSU should I go about, can the Gigabyte 390W power those without the GPU? budget less than 200MYR, prefers energy many thanks. It's more than enough. It can even power up the system with the HD6770, though a 450W power supply is recommended for safety and power supply lifespan reasons.

thanks, found one 200MYR range, it is 500W, is it the best for 200MYR?
SEASONIC SILENCE PRO 80 - 500watts 80Plus = RM193
Had one Seasonic, so far so good, heard the distributor changed? Thanks.

AFAIK the distributor already dropped distribution for Seasonic so no warranty.I recommend getting the Corsair CX500 V2 instead,it can be had for RM219 at Lowyat Plaza.[The V2's box is plain old cardboard compared to the fancier V1 board but the V2 is better than V1]

CEX and ModernoPC took over the distributorship. existing users can claim warranty from them, but now 3 years now.

My Cooler Master GX 650W PSU died recently. My system consists of an core i7-920 CPU and a ATi HD5770 GPU. I'm thinking if my previous PSU was actually suitable for my system. Any recommendations of what kind of PSU I should be getting this time around?

The Cooler Master GX Series power supplies are not recommended due to quality issues, so do remember to avoid them. Suggestions : Low-Budget : FSP Hexa 500W - RM159 Moderate-Budget : Silverstone Strider Essential 500W - RM219 Big-budget : Corsair GS 600 ( 600W ) power supply - RM299 If you decide to go with the 600W power supply, it should be able to support more PC components that are coming out in the near future compared to the two power supplies of lower capacity.

Thanks, I will consider the 600W PSU. Is the Xigmatek NRP-PC602 (600W) 80 PLUS Bronze a good choice?

The GS 600 is recommended over the Xigmatek 600W Bronze power supply though, as it has a stronger 12V rail ( 576W versus Xigmatek's 504W )

^ Moderno + CEX just realized that they really bumped the price really high. my previous X-750W was only RM529, retailing at RM599 at shops. And now the newer model X-760W which is no doubt almost the same except for the extra 10W is now RM629, and it's sold by CEX himself. Imagine the price if it hit's the shelves at LYP.
