brand doesn't show that a particular last longer. imho value for $$ are acer and viewsonic. first didn't state budget, second you need to state what you use mainly for, third you need to tell us what are the size that you are looking for. forthly, remember this...your pay peanuts..you get peanuts. tongue.gif .

Totally agreed wat lonewolf said...
We cant compare for all the LCDs....
Lets say 20" widescreen, some ppl paid Rm9XX go for Samsung 205BW and some ppl rather paid RM13xx for Dell 2007WFP. The price for these 2 LCD have big diff....but they paid for SIPS panel rather than TN panel....
tongue.gif like me....

Just my 2 cents....

Its a TN panel dude, up to now all the 22" Wide in the market uses TN panels which is manufactured by ChiMei only.. So basically every brand in the market is using the same panel, so if you are aiming at 22" Wide, just look for the cheapest among all the brands coz the color reproduction and etc are basically the same.

equals to 10-12 real response time ? wink.gif

But I like the design and according to usa its price about USD$240 for 206bw, sounds like a very good deal, expect around 900-1000 at here tongue.gif

Is there any other brand/model that can compete with the samsung 931C in the RM850-1k range? It's primary use will be for gaming. Some user comments are appreciated.

Whats the best 17" lcd model for gaming? Yes, I know the 931C is 19". The 17" is for a friend, who argues a 17" lcd display quality is better than 19" if both sizes native resolution, contrast ratio and response time are the same. I wonder if the human eye can see the difference, although one area that interest me would be reduction of ghosting due to this. His budget is RM650-750.

The dell RM1299 22" wide screen LCD monitor is it good enough for watching movie and gaming (dun want to have ghosting effect)?

I am considering buying a wide screen LCD monitor for movie and gaming, is there any good suggestion? Budget can be around RM1200-RM1800
