get a 20" WS if possible, because it can run higher res,but it will also be more gpu intensive tongue.gif

i think u better go check out at lowyat b4 u purchase lcds, some ppl prefer WS more and some hate it. and from the above 4,i would prefer samsung 940BW than the rest, but if can just wait for the LG L204 to launch in m'sia. i think that's a pretty good WS for it's price. also check out samsung 205BW,i remember PC Zone selling them for rm1060 only,or viewsonic vx2025/vx2035 for better view angle.

it's better for you to check it out with your own eye rather than hear what we say, everyone have different opinion for monitor

cheers!

the samsung is better than the lg between this 2, because the lg colors is slightly off than normal.

but lg is brighter, some hate it,some love it.

just checked that my LCD 2007WFP is Rev02 and it is S-PVA Samsung LTM201M1

any different with S-IPS wor :??
*
S-IPS is better in almost everyway except for black levels, also S-IPS is also known as expensive panel tongue.gif

lemme see...

S-IPS has no color shifting when ur viewing at horizontal and/or vertical
S-IPS has insane view angle
S-IPS has better color reporduction

S-PVA has good black levels
S-PVA is slightly faster response time (that is usually the case..not sure with dell tongue.gif)

should just go for 20' or 22' liao... no point getting 17'... 19' maybe can consider...

so far from reading the forum...can try Samsung, Viewsonic, Dell... these are the top 3 la from my intepretation..but the best is go demo urself...and get the best that suits you...

Already ordered the E207WFP. Couldn't get pass the Viewsonic built quality...
Also.. my accountant prefer the Dell over the rest...  blush.gif
If you guys are looking for widescreen lcd, Look out for the HP 19" and 20" widescreens. Looks good....but a bit pricier than the Samsung.
*
HP has good built quality, my company is using it, but to date,it does not support HDCP

Could find VX2025wm in lowyat now. So I decided to buy 2007WFP for RM1349. Hope the one i get is a S-IPS panel.

i think you have a good chance of getting S-IPS, since most of us recent buyer have rev A03 S-IPS currently, but i think most of us have backlight issue also

QUOTE
mine ven worst... got the rev02  and is P-MVA Samsung... not the S=IPS

go torture ur monitor, go press some pressure on it to have more dead pixels and demand an exchange

okok....just kidding, but u can use *ahem ahem* tactics for exchange

correct me if i'm wrong..y do you need HDMI on a GC ? and where does the sound comes from ?? DVI-D is same as HDMI minus the audio only if i'm not mistaken ( DVI-D already can produce HD same as HDMI)
