But nowadays most of the LCD is TN panel due to cost wise. TN panel is cheaper which make it more easy to sell and faster response time make people feel better(psycological). That's why most computer shops stock TN panel rather than other.
I like S-IPS panel due to much better viewing angle but it is more expensive which make it not favourable for shop to sell.

QUOTE(^666^ @ Jan 27 2007, 10:38 PM) i need help. just change from LG 19" wide tft to samsung one model 940bw. but the resolution is like simulation and strech cause 6the font is blur and not sharp at all. at the lcd osd status information stated is running 1280x1024 ats 80khz. please help help me. You set the wrong resolution, 1280x1024 is the ntive resolution for 19inch non-widescreen one. Sure become blur blur a bit, lcd is best display on its native resolution, others than that definitely become a bit blurish.

QUOTE(Merlin_of_light @ Feb 14 2007, 12:04 PM) LCD Buyer's GuideHope this helps. Doesn't anyone own a Samsung 931C? I'd like user comments on this monitor before deciding to buy it. Will it be obsolete in 2 years? It's price is expensive and few retailers sell it. Is the extra >RM70 compared to 940BF worth it? Any comments on the FP93GX? The 931 model is a bit rare. Whether it obsolete or not, it won't do any different, the most important is whether you are satisfied with its picture quality and its spec or not and can last as long as it could. The Benq model looks impressive on paper and cheaper than others but in real term, I don't know much about Benq. But a lot of people had bad experience with its brand, but it is last time out, don't know how is the current quality is.

QUOTE(Matrix @ Mar 19 2007, 06:56 PM) Just want to ask. What is the dead-pixel warranty policy for most brands? I've asked at ALL IT hypermarket at Digital Mall yesterday and the fella told me 7 dead pixels!!! I'm not quite sure i trust the guy though....he doesn't seems to know what he is talking....ask him TN panels also dunno!!! Is there any zero dead pixels warranty for any brands? As far as I know, only Sony offers zero dead pixel. Others like Samsung, LG, Dell, Viewsonic etc are at around 3-7 dead pixels. Nowadays, dead pixel problem is not as severe as last time, (when first bought) although occasionally still got, not many as last time, may be the technology is more mature now, but you can't complain much if dead pixel come out after several years of using.

QUOTE(Matrix @ Mar 21 2007, 10:41 AM) 1 to 1 exchange within 7 working days for Samsung? Not bad wor. Thanks for the info, but do all the dealers pratice this or they just pretend dunno? I'm afraid if some of this dealer refuse to entertain. If after several years, then cannot complain-ler of course. I am sure about the 7 working day, but a handful of shop can give next day 1-1 exchange if found dead pixel or defects, so better fast checking after brought home.

QUOTE(ryanso85 @ Mar 21 2007, 07:09 PM) can any1 here help me out?? Ultrasharp is just mean got DVI input, that's all, it is just some marketing term to make it sounds good. DVI and VGA input got slightly different, DVI is slightly more sharper than VGA due to digital input but for ordinary users whom are not selective, some even can't distinguish between both if I put one VGA and one DVI side by side.

QUOTE(juan4i64 @ Jun 23 2007, 06:18 AM) Hi , need some advice from the pros, p|an to stuck my LCD on the wa||, and wondering is it better to get TN or VA matrix? Wi|| i have prob|ems with view ang|es with a TN matrix? 19 inch, any brand as |ong as it is worth it. |ooking at samsung 931WB, and 971N. THX. TN panel viewing angle is less than PVA or MVA panel for sure. But nowadays, majority TN panel has 160/160 angle already while PVA/MVA or S-IPS panel has 178 (if not mistaken, correct me if I am wrong). It depends on your preference and usage.
