for me when it started to sound til sent to bluebox, the aircon is cold, just that the sound is too loud that whenever I passby guard post the guard will ask, malu betul..haha..
then u will only hear the lorry/truck sound after turning on A/C to indicate such issue.. seems quite common even with 3008 as well, not sure with 508 or 5008

recently my car take awhile to cold .. maybe during parking under hot sun ..
but the air cond is cold..
the loud sound.. hurrmm .. not sure until i really heard one as example .. rclxub.gif

Does it sound like diesel engine or lorry engine? If yes then most likely.

No bro, I did not switch to the 3008. 2014/15 3008s share the same engine as our 408t. As I know details of this engine reasonably well, was just trying to help bro metalrash understand it.

Still with my beloved 408t, however i'll most probably switch before the end of this year. It's going to be hard to let my Lion go as she's running like a dream! Have made an appointment for the enhanced package next month. After retrofitting this package she's going to be so good, it will be even more difficult to let go!
*
What do we have to say to the SC about the enhancement package?because some service center refuse to say there is such package. By the way, which SC ur goin to?

I drive in before breakdown, afraid that it might.. Initially thought to wait til next Monday which I have scheduled for 60k service but seems like the compressor can't wait, from whispering became yelling for help so no choice..

I think there is some problem with certain SC and NAZA. They have their own squabbles, but that should not affect us. We are customers and are only asking for them make good on their promise, which is to honor duties as a Peugeot authorized service center.

I 've booked my date to carry out service enhancement package with Glenmarie, but they are extremely busy. I'm waiting like 2 &1/2 months! I said I would like to book a date to bring my car for the enhancement package. Based on my car registration, was told my car needed 4 items to be replaced.

if you suspect something wrong, take car in for inspection. Don't have to wait for breakdown. It is also not advisable to wait cos sometimes a solution is easy if the defect is caught early.

In my case the air-con was cold, but after 7 sec. of engine start, will make start to make the 'krak, krak' noise. I checked this several times. The 7sec. delay began to worry me as I thought the turbo is developing a problem. I began to suspect the turbo cos of the 7 sec time delay for the sound to appear. Another symptom was that the frequency of the sound would increase as I revved the engine. I did not wait any longer. SC diagnosed it to be air-con bearing problem.

Wow.. This group is quite active.. Cool!

I am now.seriously considering purchasing a 3008. But can only afford a used one, model year 2010-2012 (which is in my budget).

Will test drive a few maybe this weekend. Hopefully my 3008 used car purchase will be good to me and my pocket. Haha.

Anything for me to lookout for when inspecting the 3008? Any tips?

Thanks.

I think that generation of 3008 has rather problematic carbon deposit issue. Correct me if i am wrong.

Later gonna replace all 4 MC5 to Hankook S1 Noble 2..

Update on the tires: 1st impression very good, very comfortable, way better than MC5 and it is quiet.. Will update once running more mileage on it but I would recommend it over MC5 biggrin.gif
