All Prince engines use timing chain, even the one on your Citroën. Chain is checked for serviceability at 60kkm & tensioners are changed. This gives the engine an amazing like new feel! As this service is done at the end of 3rd year, it is absolutely wonderful to have the engine running crisp & healthy!

Hi, i went to Peugeot sale office today. I am interested in 408 turbo. Right now they are offering RM99888 OTR. It comes with 5 years warranty and free service, but without Peugeot protect because it's 2016 stock. Is this a good deal? Is there better deal out there? Thanks.

I am a bit worrying as it seems to have a lot of problems mentioned in this and other forums, but sure 408t is such a beautiful car.

Any specific reason? Or just in case?
My brother is also advising me to use RON97, but he's driving a Golf.

After 5-6 full tanks of ron97 i feel it is easier to control the fuel consumption. On highways i got 6-7L/100km compared to ron95 8-9L/100km

Your fc is excellent, even better than manufactures figures. On Ron 95, my fc indicated is 9.2/100. I don't understand what you mean by "easier to control"?

Here are my FC figures on Petron RON95:
@110kmh CC on highway: ~5.7L/100km (strictly 110kmh).
@130kmh CC on highway: ~7.1L/100km.
Normal city driving yields 11.2L/100km. I suspect the data is wrong because my full tank only does ~430kms before fuel warning comes on.

Running on Shell RON95 for a few days now. Too soon for FC figures but mileage seems roughly the same. Engine feels smoother though.

*when I live up to my alias on the highway, I get ~8.8L/100km.

Happy new year guys.

A couple of questions:
1. How do I connect my phone automatically?
2. How do I make the head unit remember that I want to shuffle the tracks?

Just to express my opinion after owning 408T for 4 years coming may 16 and clock 90k km on my 408T...

Any one ask whether happy to own it, I will honestly said not at all, 4 years of owning it this is the major replacement owning it for 4 years
1. Aircond Cooling coil
2. Aircond compressor
3. THP high pressure fuel

The last major replacement

4. Brake disc on front wheel

Yes it need to be replaced after change brake pad for 2nd time, and the gear knob broken when the car return after services last saturday, it is good when sent in... almost give up owning it, do not get me wrong, the drive is good but owning and maintain is really killing... wonder how other ppl honestly feel owning it...

I believe that's the price owning a continental car right? That's why Japanese cars still dominating the market.

If you don't mind, may I ask how much is the cost of replacing/repairing all the 4 items mentioned above? I just received my 408T last week, after much struggle I decided to proceed with it. Maybe a wrong move, maybe a correct move, I'm not sure.

Good for u if manage to get it free under warranty, mine also broken after 4 years coming may 16, the sc said the warranty for it already finish as that gear knob is not part of extended warranty, although when I send my car for service the knob is good, too tired to argue with them , get a replacement from a seller for peugeot parts in fb, instead replace with the same knob, I opt to replace with diff gear knob, not sure from which model
