Ok ok … I should be visiting sc next two weeks for 20k service… but I'm from johor so hope that the sc will change for me… btw, if I insist them on the problem but they do not do anything can I refuse to pay until they provide me a satisfactory solution? Cos I've had very bad experience with the sc here… very very bad…

May i know which SC do you visit in Johor? Thanks.

I went to both kebun teh and plentong sc… both shit to the max, kebun teh marginally better but still very bad. Last time I went kebun teh and ask them to check my ac as it produces a rattling sound when I turn it on while in gear car not moving… and they say ac got sound, then I ask so claim warranty lo, they say can't, computer scan no error… I was like wth… are they stupid or what… need to shoot them again this coming service…

New 408 is offering a pretty attractive price now. ~RM104K for TE spec with 5 years free servicing.
But i am holding back my purchase now. No doubt it is a nice spacious car to drive. I have heard too many complaints on the poor service from the SC in Johor.
Sigh. What a pity...

Looks bad for a new car. sad.gif
Did you check your tyres? Most likely the tyres are manufactured back in early 2013 as well.

so it has been used as test drive car?
outgoing 408 why still need register as showroom car?
hmm.gif hmm.gif

I guess it means they don't have new stock anymore. Likely it is a clearance for all the existing 408 showroom cars now.
Went passed 2 showrooms, and 408 is no longer on display.

Wow.. This group is quite active.. Cool!

I am now.seriously considering purchasing a 3008. But can only afford a used one, model year 2010-2012 (which is in my budget).

Will test drive a few maybe this weekend. Hopefully my 3008 used car purchase will be good to me and my pocket. Haha.

Anything for me to lookout for when inspecting the 3008? Any tips?

Thanks.

I think that generation of 3008 has rather problematic carbon deposit issue. Correct me if i am wrong.

Dear all
Good morning!
Just wondering, would the 408T pre-facelift model purchased now be included in the enhancement package or would all necessary parts be changed before delivery of the car?
Please advise.
*
AFAIK, the parts are changed before delivery of car.

Wow dats kewl! I often drive to kuantan as well. Hav to wash the car every single day! Sigh!.

Bro, hw bout the air ventilation? Wont ther be hot air build up?
*
It has air inlets and outlets. Not too sure about the efficiency though.
My 408 also has this, so far so good.

Bear with me long post.

Last Sunday evening, I took my 408 t 2013 for a short ride.  While at the traffic lights, noted that was a vibration on my steering wheel and a rattling sound from my engine. It went away on driving.

Got home, popped the hood, the rattling sound seems to come from the silver area right infront of the engine. It went away when the aircond was turned off and back on again when the ac turned on.  Only when car is static the vibration is apparent.

So I took it to the klang sc, and they said straight that it's a aircon issue. They don't deal with it, so asked to send to glenmarie, where I have had bad experiences but no choice.

Sent on Monday morning, their sales person said the aircond tech has reviewed. No problem s with the electronics and only issue is the sound. It is functioning so there is no repair code.

Long story short, same story yesterday, and today.

Essentially there is a sound. A loud rattling sound, and just because it's working, they don't want to find out what is wrong with it.

Any advice?
*
Err...rather typical response from Nasim SC actually. Time to bang the table?

408T will be the last Peugeot for me. 2 years + with the car, so many problems !! Have Honda that is already more than 7 yrs old, no problem at all.
Now aircond compressor kaput. Only warm air coming out. Complained at SC in Alma before reaching 100K, they ask me to go Butterworth. By the time i had time to go Butterworth SC, car already 101K. They say have to claim under extended warranty already and will take long time.
Yesterday trapped in traffic jam for more than an hour@ 35deg C and no aircond. Boleh muntah !!! Enough Peugeot for me !!!
*
Actually you are not alone. I won't buy another Peugeot as well; not in Malaysia with Nasim as distributor.
Nasim aftersales service is really pathetic, almost non-existent. I think they don't have the capability to handle Peugeot at all.

Peugeot supporters here please don't flame me. I am just speaking from my experience. blush.gif

Hi all,

My 408 T reverse sensor and display suddenly went off, any 408T owners face same problem? Should I send back to Peugeot SC?
*
Did you accidentally turn it off?

New Ford focus is priced at $145k,maybe Naza is trying to catch the market by  sneaking just under.

IMO 408e has alot to offer, especially the interior, way above the rest in it's class. I'm sure the handling will be very good, judging by 408thp!  However I feel the biggest rival will be Hondas 1.5turbo Civic. Understand Civic is priced at $140k
*
Just read the news on latest Civic. Top variant at RM132K excluding insurance.
Err...sad to say 408 e-THP is going to be a white elephant. Good luck to Nasim...i am not too sure whether they can survive with such low volume of sales in the coming 2-3 years.
Nasim please make sure you honour the warranty of my car despite of the poor turnover. Better if you pass on Peugeot & Citroen distributorship to a more capable company.

I think it should be OK. Unlikely it will affect the motor with few manual turns of the side mirror.
Did you check whether it is still functioning well?

Hi peugeot owners, any recommendation where I can get peugeot coolant water outside of SC with reasonable price?
*
I don't think you need to spend extra for Peugeot coolant.
Any of the Ethylene glycol based coolant should work fine. Buy those pre-mixed one will do.

Today i went Nasim to service my car. Saw two new 408 FL just arrived the showroom. It is a FL of the old 408, not the just launched 408 e-THP.

It offers some features similar to the 408 Griffe. 18" wheels, smoke headlamps (no projector i think), and touch screen display. The rear lights are different from the existing design.

Wonder how much they planning to sell. RM90K?
