spent a lot on my pug this year.
1. top overhaul 3k+
2. turbo enclosure, vacuum hoses, blow off valve 3k+
3. throttle body 1k+
4. black pastic thingy on top of radiator 1k
5. windscreen replacement (via insurance rm450)
6. battery 350

now forced to keep this car forever after spending such a fortune to replace those new parts.

last year:
1. lower arm 2k
2. absorbers 2k
3. tires 1k
4. 3 x abs sensors 250 each
5. wipers 100+
6. decarbo 600
7. fan relay switch 250

2 years ago:
1. compressor, condensor, etc 2k+
2. 1 abs sensor 250
3. 4 brake disc and pads dun remember price edy

there's some other stuff i'm sure i forgot... but the maintenance cost is growing and growing. now it drives like new although it looks very old (design-wise and car paint-wise). not worth selling this car.. must keep till it dies.

bro, u decided to do top overhaul due to severe engine oil consumption? How bad was it?
Regarding the enclosure, hoses, BOV, and other parts that you replaced, more of preventive or indeed some crack, malfunction thus triggering the change?

Your pug how many years already?

Sometimes I do find this 408 aged nicely as compared other C segment sedans of its time.

Hey man. Did you change the fan relay switch coz of Air Cond problems? SC told me that wife's car needs to change that coz there are times when the compressor won't kick in.

Also, where'd you get yours done?

the recall is since long ago and can be done anytime .. even after warranty or you are not servicing as SC.

funny that the Service Advisor mentioned this recall was initiated earlier this year biggrin.gif
It has been 2 years since I last visited official service center and out of the blue they just called indicating this recall.
